  • tht sounds exactly like one of my cats meows, and her name is BUCKLEY! [americans who dont know she is named after a famous sports player [common pet name]

  • Cute

  • we need some awesome New Yorker commentator for this matchup...

  • and the dog bows down.

  • That cat has a beautiful meow!

  • It kind of sounds like that half persian half angora cat video of it screaming or something.

  • cats like leave me alone, stupid kid

  • dat cat

  • both so cute!!!!!

the cat has such a cute way to meow!

  • if that cat wanted to it could make that dog stop.

  • This is like an amped up version of how my dog and Maine Coon cat play. I think it's so funny that they will be silent when playing with a cat, but if it's another dog my dog is whining and growling and herding them around.

  • Cats and dogs that are the same size =D

  • Cute!

  • oh my. ur sheltie is pretty!! like!

  • zaz!!! el perro se hinca ante el gato!!!

  • Lol I like this video tho :)

  • Poor kitty! The dog kept teasing it!

  • Lol at 00:12 - 00:16

  • stick and move, stick and move!

  • The cat doesn't look like he wants to be left alone. It seems to enjoy the fight.

  • LOL! The cat got floored and trampled on 00:12

  • Cats fight by grabbing their opponents around the neck, pulling the opponent on top of them, and kicking the opponent in the gut with their hind feet. Just like at the beginning of the video.

  • so when you leave the house, the animals are never bored... that's great.

  • Look buddy, I can stick you in the face with my right jab all day...exactly, sit down

  • this is almost too cute.....almost.

  • sooooooo cute!!!!!

  • Wow... your pets beauty are just stunning ;D

Tugs fur just looks so soft and nice ;-) And the sofness in the changing of the colors are just Beautyfull. I love it. I do actually have a maine coon (mix) myself (Love all their fluffyness)

And Sheltie fur at the tail, just looks so soft and silk-like ;-)

BTW great video ... 00:26 take that dog (cat-fan for life) ;p

  • how tall is your sheltie?

  • Awesome. Your cat looks just like mine :)

  • at least theyre equal lol

  • Is your sheltie the one making the little sounds,...play cries I'm hearing?!?!?! ;)

  • @ladyfox825 I think it's the cat, actually!

  • What beauitful babies u have, love it!!!...;););)

  • @ladyfox825 What a lovely comment!

  • give me a big huuug :-)

  • Too cute :)

  • dawn...what a big cat

  • both cat and dog r adourable

  • My Maine coon and sheltie(s) wrestle all the time! Must be why the vet flyers always show them together....LOL. They make a great pair for cat-dog combos. I can tell it's never aggressive but sometimes I have to remind my pup that the cat is getting older (12+) and can't be roughed up like before even though he says otherwise. :)

  • the Maine coon put that dog in check!

  • OMG i want a maine coon now!!!! :D

  • lol at the dog just sitting down in the end

  • I LOVE YOUR KITTY <3

  • aww! made me giggle x

  • This looks so much like my maine coon and pomeranian mix! This is so cute!

  • I love the maine coon's chirp...his yelp with the paw up is like bruce lee, lol

  • The Sheltie is playing, not fighting, with the Maine-Coon cat: note the dog's play-bows (when he lowers his front to the floor while keeping his rear up, with the front paws well apart)!! That's a dog's play-signal, and it seems that the cat is enjoying it no less!! It's all in play, good stuff!!!! Thanks for the upload!!

  • @LJBSasha - well yes, of course the dog is playing, but no, the cat really isn't enjoying it. For medical reasons, most of his teeth, including all his canines were removed, so he may think he's doing more to my dog than he really is! But even when he's really mad, he hardly ever scratches or bites. Eventually he'll just get up and leave the room, but usually I tell the dog to leave him alone, but I couldn't resist taking some video when I let them go at it for awhile!

  • @maryjo313: I'm sorry!! I didn't know about the cat's both being hurt medically AND not enjoying the play. My apologies.

  • @LJBSasha - no problem! I think when my sheltie was a bit younger the cat didn't mind and even sort of egged him on. But then as he got bigger, he was just too much for even my big cat to deal with! He's since been taught to leave the cat alone, and is much more respectful of cats in general.

  • @maryjo313: Thank you for your kind reply!

I had thought that if the cat wasn't enjoying it, he'd at least growl if not hiss. My goodness, the kitty sounds like a VERY gentle character (maybe he senses the dog really doesn't want to harm him...).

Good that you've taught the Sheltie to be more respectful of cats in general as well as specifically with this particular one - well done!!!

    Thanks again!!!

  • @LJBSasha - that's the Maine Coon in him, they are very easy going cats in general and just don't tend to get upset quite like other cats do. It takes something *really* severe for him to growl or hiss, and even when he's that upset I've rarely seen him attack with teeth and claws the way some cats will. So yeah, I figure since he's not really going to defend himself that much, it's my job to step in and do it for him! ;-)

  • @maryjo313: Indeed. Thanks again, you've taught me not a little bit both directly and via that cat himself. If I ever am to have a feline pet (IF purebred, which is very unlikely...), I see that the Maine Coon and the Norwegian Forest Cat (supposedly with a similar disposition) would be particularly high in the running...

  • @LJBSasha - my pleasure! Just to add to my earlier reply, the clear sign that the cat is a bit angry is the tail swishing. This means a LOT more than any vocalizations (sometimes in fact an angry cat will purr, so it's definitely best to not just go by sound!) Also notice the ears slanted back. Another sign of an upset cat. A cat that is playing with generally have ears pointed forward and will not do so much tail swishing. Those say all you need to know about his state of mind. ;-)

  • @LJBSasha maybe the cat senses your a fuckking faggot

  • they're both helping each other get the annoying bell collar off

  • Comment removed

  • very cute

  • que lindo gato

  • So the Cat's ultimate attack is slighty raising his paw up. Sweet that def. does critical damage lol.

  • I HOPE THE DOG WINS!!!

  • that aint a turd, unfortunately (as it wouldve been funny as fuck!). the dog stands in it, its something like a glove or something.

  • @hogalog It's a pig ear.

  • omg! big cat is as big as the sheltie!

  • I loved the ending, i dont know why but it made me laugh :D

    0:42

  • Sheltie: kitteh, I bow to thee!!

  • Is that a shit on the carpet?

  • @elperrotuko a leaf

  • Dog in the end " i give up, lets just settle it by mind communication LOL"

  • One of your pets pooped on your carpet.

  • Wahaha, poor Sheltie...Gave up at the end! ahah...Wait another 2-3 months, we will see who we'll be the winner then...ahah!...Boths of them, beautiful creatures!

  • You're lucky they don't hurt each other. One of cats go for our, and especially our Great Dane's eyes. But still we love her to scratches....

  • Soooooo funny!! What a beautiful Maine Coon!!

  • 00:27 = BITCH SLAP

  • that is soooo sweet, i wish my coonies would play with our dog *gg* how does your cat handle the bell on her collar? isn't she incredible annoyed by the constant ringing? i would go crazy

  • that cat would destroy that dog if it wanted to.

  • I Love Shelties and I adore main coons. They are both great.

  • So cute! My cats and dogs play like this, too. They never hurt each other, though. It's amazing, isn't it?

  • funny: 22 pounds, and still a maine coon soprano sque-ek!

  • LOL. Great clip. I love it when cats grab a dog round the neck, give a little bite and the dog is helpless against it. Funny stuff. Great looking pets you have.

  • @TheGusto69 - The funny thing is that my maine coon had to have a bunch of teeth removed and he actually has no canine teeth at all. He probably thinks he's biting the heck out of my dog, but there's nothing there to bite with!

  • I love how your dog just sits down at the end, like "OK, enough of that. Let's just be friends."

I have a very similar looking Maine Coon who acts like a dog. I've always wanted him to meet a dog but it's never happened. Although he did see some at the vet and was very interested (and not scared).

  • @wiebkefesch - yeah I would bring my maine coon to the vet on a harness and leash and let him roam around and he isn't really bothered by dogs there unless they try to get in his face. He seems to really love the attention he gets from all the people though!

  • That coon is so cute.

  • and cat wins. cat always wins. especially if said cat is a maine coon. then cat pwns.

  • Cat is youg, right? I thing he'll be bigger.

  • simply just adorable <3

  • haha my maine coon has the same meow, thought it was just him but they got cursed with it i guess

  • and omg listen to that kitty meow, doesnt fit its big stature at all!

  • @ledzepdog07 - yeah that's kind of a maine coon trait, that tiny "chirrup" meow. It is indeed really funny how quiet and soft it is for such a big cat! I always hate when he gets locked in a closet because I can't hear him at all!

  • @maryjo313 i love it hahaha

  • @maryjo313 yeah why the hell cats always do that? like whenever i open enything i tryies to sneak in and hide, one time my can was locked for like whole day, case i went to work... and guess what? it didnt learn his lesson freaking does it evry time. and he would sleep in a closet for like 3 houers and the call for help LOL

  • bahahahahaha, awesome

  • This is just terrible. Terrible video

  • This is just terrible.

  • lol the sheltie just sits down at the end

  • SWEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was just wondering how old the sheltie was? My pup is about 5 month old and the same size (maybe a little smaller) but compared to my other two is is alot smaller. I didnt think she was going to grow much larger. thanks, and nice video so cute

  • @OneLovex331 - the sheltie pup is about 6 or 7 months in the video I believe, so pretty much full grown in terms of height, but he filled out more and got a LOT more coat. He's definitely at the bottom end of the legal height for the breed regardless.

  • Years ago when our Maine Coon was a kitten he used to attach himself to the front of our Sheltie's neck and they'd go running around the house with the cat hanging on for dear life! A true YouTube million hitter. To bad we didn't even have video cameras then!

  • how old is he? he reminds me of my sheltie when he wrestles the great dane lol

  • the chirpy delicate meow is pricelessly cute ^_^

  • This is a Kick ass Housecat hahah. nice!

  • wow! your cat is just as big as your dog!

and they seem to be having so much fun wrestling each other...

    how adorable!

  • That's a very pretty Coon.

  • look in the first two seconds there is poop on the floor

  • It's just a pig ear chewie, you can see the dog run over and knock it aside later in the video.

  • @maryjo313 Oh thank goodness.... I was kind of worried there for a second!

  • My Maine coon, Chubbs is about 18 pounds and looks identical to yours. He even makes the same meow/sqweek sound, lol. Thanks for sharing!

  • this is the reason why i love cats.

  • ur cat has beautiful fur :) im jealous lol

  • lol i love shelties <3

  • okay.. either the cat is a freakin dog, or the dog is a freakin cat XD

  • He looks like he has excelent herding instincts. I wonder what he would do around sheep.

  • @chico388 - Boomer has only been on sheep once (I hope to get into it again just haven't had a chance since moving to find a place). He is actually a bit timid in strange places but he did show some good instinct and moved the sheep around pretty well.

  • @maryjo313 That's really interesting. I have a shelti/poodle and he seems very similar in behaviour. I'd love to get him around some sheep. Does your's tend to herd people in the house?

  • I know mine is a cross by my shelty cross at a 4 month old puppy is about that sise. Either that or that cat is ginormous. It's strange to see this cat kinda of brawl with him, because our cats once he gets to jump at him either run or roll over and play dead. They are pretty much terrified of him.

  • haha dogg got a beating!!

  • its funny :D

  • That's a big kitty, but the Sheltie has some moves.

I'd say, if the Coonie jumped the gate, than the puppy won that round.

  • @HotCuppaCoffee thats not a puppy that's the maximum size for that breed of dog

  • @TheTherealnigga Well, he actually still is a puppy in this video although close to full grown. But my sheltie is very small for the breed, under the size that they are supposed to be. I've seen some that were twice his height! On the flip side, my cat is large even for a Maine Coon (one of the largest breeds of cat there is).

  • @maryjo313 how much does your maine coon weighs

  • @TheTherealnigga - the cat is about 22 pounds.

  • @maryjo313 is the cat havier than the dog?

  • @TheTherealnigga - yes, the cat outweighs the dog by almost 10 pounds in this video.

  • So süüüß ;o)

  • I miss my MC, they are beyond awesome cats.

  • To see something that big, squeaking...

  • If your cat was fighting the dog, the dog would just have a bald spot on the head and look REALLY confused after being smacked hard in the face about 20x in 5 seconds.

They're both just screwing around. =)

  • loll! the cat owns the dog! x3

  • it's funny how in these videos the maine coons actually fight like dogs. When my dogs bother mine he just gives them a swift swipe and they run off crying. Though they're much bigger and more threatening so I guess he has to resort to more drastic measures.

  • love the cat's little sqeeks.

  • You have like the most uncommon and popular pets right there. I used to have two shelties and I have a 4 to 5 year old Main Coon (Silver and Black).

  • go coonie go coonie

  • hahahaahah <3 :P

  • i love how he runs off and runs back on.....

  • god! i just love animals.

  • At our house we call this Kitty Kat Kung Fu--They have figured out an inter-species play method--too cute!! It also looks like some fako wrestling at times! Cuties!

  • go kitty lol

  • haha! my maine coon and my mom's chihuahua/dachshund/pomeranian/possibly pappillon *gasps for breath* do this all the time XD. GO KITTY!

  • cat didnt even break a sweat.

  • lol♥

  • haha brilliant :D

  • ha at the end the dog was like okay you win! :)

  • LMAO!! At 0:16

    Maine Coon: What? oh shit!!

  • that cat could kick that dogs ass!

  • dein sheltie is so gross wie deine katze =)

    voll süss!

  • is that poo at :22

  • sorry but at 0:22 is that dog poo on the ground?

  • I think it's some weird looking toy. It looks fuzzy...

  • XD how cute! A dark sable Sheltie was my first experience with a pet of any kind, he slept under my cradle when I was a baby ^^

  • Great stuff! I called it a draw and then it ended perfectly.

  • DANG! i knew main coon's were huge, but DANG!!

  • And the cat wins!

  • Our crazy dog likes to chase our three cats around. Two of them just run away but the third usually starts swating her paws at him.

  • wow^^ cute :D

  • I laugh so hard at this video and your other one, thanks for putting them up...we have a Sheltie and when he was a pup we had a Maine Coon...he wasn't quite that brave with the cat. ; )

  • maine coon's are "catdogs" *lol*

  • Does your cat have claws? My guess is he is playing.

  • @Twirble You can tell he's playing because the sheltie's throat is intact.

  • way too cute.... the cat looks bigger than the dog... hahahaha.....

  • i love how the dog runs over the cat lmao

  • Big cat, small sheltie !

  • I think I want a Maine Coon... they're just so awesome. I love cats.

  • LOL funny and cute.

  • I love how your dog doesn't know the cat isn't playing, lol. ^-^ I love this video, very cute!

  • maine coon's are the best!

I had one a few years ago

  • 0:26 - bitchslap :D

  • hahahah i lol'd :'D

  • GO KITTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
