If he had turned the shark alt he way over, it would have done that trance thing where they are awake but out of it and you're relatively safe. That would have been even more awesome. Then you could add the caption "Like a Boss".lol

@forza599 - Yeah, exactly. When you have a human body next to the Tiger Shark, you can see how big those sharks really are. And the 2nd thing I noticed is how calm he was when he steered it away using his hand.
But - things like that can go wrong, very quickly!
@forza599 sharks have nerves at the nose. when you touch the nose the shark calms down/paralizes for a slight moment. and why run away if you dont stand a chance... i'd rather confront, because theres still that one chance the shark gets afraid of you... ;) i am an experienced diver, and i had the chance to dive with sharks 3 times. they really calm down... they become big big dogs. you can scratch em, love em, hug em etc. :)

In this video, besides the goofing around, I'm pretty sure that guy is in survival-mode-overdrive, and that calm, perfectly controlled reaction is certainly a last resort "cannot screw up or I'll die" move, not a rational "I'd rather confront than run" all the way through a computer screen. That's a face-off, no "would" there.
