I watched this movie all the time when I was a kid and just recently watched it again. I still remember this piece 20 years later. This song and scene represent the powerful emotion of finding true happiness and believing in oneself AKA flying ;)

someone at sometime, stupidly decided that because they know music or, are music teachers or music majors in college, that because john williams is a movie music composer, he can only reach a certain level of success, but i truly hope that this piece will prove them wrong. Yes, it is very repetitive, but the signature of a good piece is the feeling that it brings when listening to it, and i have yet to personally meet anyone who doesn't experience a feeling of joy when hearing this piece :)
