@NY5tillMiCASA I have Comcast xfinity. My whole neighborhood was having huge problems with Uverse. I'm currently paying for the 12mbps internet package, but I'm getting 24mbps and it's completely stable, the speed never drops. When I was with Uverse my TV service would also cut out for a few seconds quite often making a mess of my recorded shows, I don't have that problem with Comcast. The whole bundle is about 5 bucks or so a month cheaper than Uverse as well.
@RVCAXD I got one for free. AT&T provided me a free one cause i got the latest DSL. So the said don't waste money, get the new UVERSE motorola for free. Gots it for free. with free installation! :)

Exactly 2 shows at once and you have to be watching one to record the other, unlike uverse how you can rcord 4 shows at once and watch on any tv in the house. Also with comcast your HD Picture is in a compressed HD signal. Comcast has prob cut you a promo deal for 6 months if you have the exact same thing as uverse because regulatr cable charges you alot more for half the service

I wish I could also show you some of the TV recordings I had from AT&T where the feed cuts out every 3 minutes giving you 10-20 seconds of a blank screen. I can record 2 TV shows at once and I would have to watch one of the shows if I'm recording 2 at once, which is fine because the only 3 shows I even record air on different days of the week. hey guys Uverse is the best rightnow on tv high speed internet and voice because the optical fiber run with the light speed so.. if u are having problem could be because ur premises are not good inside ur house!.. pls check ur jacks and all ur wires, then check ur 2wire router all the lights have to be on.. @SoldierKnowsBest you do know that the fiber optic wires is not coming directly into your house it is fiber optic for that whole neighborhood but the lines from the vrad boxes get transfered to the cable lines...... I mean the fiber optic lines!
At&t is nice, but uverse... I like the HD channels etc but usually its down, where it shows a black screen. You'll end up restarting it and waiting 10 minutes and you cant have 4 cable boxes on at the same time. REcording is nice, but the stuff i just listed pisses me off. i give uverse a 2.5 out of 5
At first I had TimeWarner. (Austin, TX.) The internet was slow for what I could afford. I signed up with Uverse about 2 months later, and I have to say, for 20 bucks more, Uverse offers 12mbps compared to 2mbps from TW. I'm a big online gamer and even with a wifi setup, I can still host MW2 games/rooms. Also I haven't had any incidents with lag, the internet being down or even maintenance downtime. All and all Uverse works well at my house. Been satisfied for 10 months thus far.
If you or a NEIGHBOR are ham radio operator say AWAY from this GARBAGE system.RFI from most ANY HF radio will KILL the picture every time the microphone or keyer is activated.NOT GOOD! }:>(

I just order this, and love it, i have 2 dvr hd and internet 12mb download 1.5 upload for 97.00 a month plus free install. that is 60.00 cheaper a month that time warner cable. and as far as the internet speed. I can not get that speed without speeding over 150.00 a month with time warner. so ATT WAY BETTER. Time warner sucks..
The difference between FIOS and Uverse is that Uverse doesn't use the fiber optic cables. They deliver their services over the old copper cables already buried in your subdivision. Now, they are starting to offer FTTP in newer housing developments or if you had FIOS they will be more then happy to use the fiber already laid, but won't lay fiber from the get go.
They hire kids that have little or no experience and rely on the veterans to clean it up then when the work gets slow they systematically let them go,,ie when the work orders slow down. betrayed! 21 plus years telecom PBX Networks installations, this company has no loyalty to YOU!

No, it is not fiber to the house. You don't think AT&T is going to simply rerun a fiber option line from the cube to your personal home do you? The only cases of this happening is Verizon FIOS that they are running fiber to homes on entire resedential blocks. Uverse great, but its not magic and they cannot just run fiber to your home. They run fiber on the backend in the data center, then fiber to the curb. From there it uses existing lines, usually twisted pair/newer copper and finally coax.
That was a good introduction to the service. I would like to get u-verse hear but our area is a little rural so att just offers dsl here. I have directv currently and like it a lot but u-verse seems like a very good value compared to cable. I keep reading about u-verse hd quality gradually increasing. I think they keep on coming out with better codecs to get a sharper hd picture with the same amount of bandwidth.
TV and Internet shut off on me 2 hrs ago and it's been shut off for at least 15mins. Not sure why it keeps doing that every weekend. ATT Tells me that they are updating their software. I doubt it since it randomly does it now and then.
is Uverse better or fios? i have fios and we had a promotional bundle for t.v., phone and internet, but I payed $10 more for HD and faster internet so it's $110 a month. is that a good deal?

Anything is better than cables super compressed mpeg2 HD. Verizon FIOS seems to be the best but Uverse isn't too bad. i would ftth with FIOS like speeds though.
I want u-verse but right now it is not in my area, I have to wait a few more months until it becomes available in my area! I guess I have to settle with Time Warner cable for now!
i have uverse. The phone is good but the TV freezes up sometimes. Also the internet has been reallllly screwed up lately. I have to restart every 5 minutes. Its ok other than that though....

Uverse is not fiber optic! It is fiber to the node and then Vdsl2 the rest of the way which is up or 3000ft from your home

Biggest problem I always have with cable/satellite providers is the god awful looking UI. U-Verse is the first one that looks good.

Can I pause and rewind live TV in a secondary room IF the DVR is recording that program simultaneously?
Can two people in two different secondary rooms watch (and pause and rewind) the same recorded show simultaneously?
Can I use a Tivo in those secondary rooms?

How this idea came to me?
I studied programming in USA 10 years ago
plus, I know several Europian languages
and I like to write sometimes in one language, sometimes in another
so I thought how to create a tool for this purpose...
I thought about it... I went to bed with these thoughts
and waked up with this idea about the screenboards.

then I supplied it with the GOOD QUALITY brainstorming.
Out of my ideas in this package came all existing screen boards, Windows Ubuntu and extentions for the TV and much more!

My work covered all related to the screenboards themes and gave them the PERSPECTIVE...
And it wasn't just the ideas which I shared! -
I paid more then the 15 thousands USD in the process!
I paid 11 500 00 $ just for the PCT application (Patent Cooperation Treaty application) which suppose to protect my author-inventor's rights around the Earth for three years?!

Yet, I can't find investors anywhere, though I paid to my patent agents for the Premium Site and for the marketing - to sell my ideas to the big companies
and these "people" took it for free?!

P.S.: the same applies to the at&t, Google, Nexus One, U.S. Cellular, T-Mobile, Samsung and others which advertise their products on YouTube and TV.
Gentlemen, check your counsciense, - is it fair to leave the inventor of the screenboards without any compensation?

You CAN pause live tv on non-dvr's by simply hitting record, then going in to recorded shows and opening that show, then pausing it.

@SoldierKnowsBest you do know that the fiber optic wires is not coming directly into your house it is fiber optic for that whole neighborhood but the lines from the vrad boxes get transfered to the cable lines...... I mean the fiber optic lines!

At&t is nice, but uverse... I like the HD channels etc but usually its down, where it shows a black screen. You'll end up restarting it and waiting 10 minutes and you cant have 4 cable boxes on at the same time. REcording is nice, but the stuff i just listed pisses me off. i give uverse a 2.5 out of 5

At first I had TimeWarner. (Austin, TX.) The internet was slow for what I could afford. I signed up with Uverse about 2 months later, and I have to say, for 20 bucks more, Uverse offers 12mbps compared to 2mbps from TW. I'm a big online gamer and even with a wifi setup, I can still host MW2 games/rooms. Also I haven't had any incidents with lag, the internet being down or even maintenance downtime. All and all Uverse works well at my house. Been satisfied for 10 months thus far.

If you or a NEIGHBOR are ham radio operator say AWAY from this GARBAGE system.RFI from most ANY HF radio will KILL the picture every time the microphone or keyer is activated.NOT GOOD! }:>(

I just order this, and love it, i have 2 dvr hd and internet 12mb download 1.5 upload for 97.00 a month plus free install. that is 60.00 cheaper a month that time warner cable. and as far as the internet speed. I can not get that speed without speeding over 150.00 a month with time warner. so ATT WAY BETTER. Time warner sucks..

The difference between FIOS and Uverse is that Uverse doesn't use the fiber optic cables. They deliver their services over the old copper cables already buried in your subdivision. Now, they are starting to offer FTTP in newer housing developments or if you had FIOS they will be more then happy to use the fiber already laid, but won't lay fiber from the get go.

They hire kids that have little or no experience and rely on the veterans to clean it up then when the work gets slow they systematically let them go,,ie when the work orders slow down. betrayed! 21 plus years telecom PBX Networks installations, this company has no loyalty to YOU!

I am planning to switch from DirecTV to AT&T U Verse once it becomes available in my area. Seems like a good change, and I have a friend who has AT&T U Verse, the HD quality is BETTER than on my DirecTV.

@ranelproductions Really? Of course, your HD quality depends on your distance from your VRAD, or your neighborhood TV box. I, personally am very happy with the quality, but at the same time, i'm on a 32" TV and am not a videophile.

Uverse is fiber from the data center to the curb/street. From there is usually twisted pair to the home, then COAX.

No, it is not fiber to the house. You don't think AT&T is going to simply rerun a fiber option line from the cube to your personal home do you? The only cases of this happening is Verizon FIOS that they are running fiber to homes on entire resedential blocks. Uverse great, but its not magic and they cannot just run fiber to your home. They run fiber on the backend in the data center, then fiber to the curb. From there it uses existing lines, usually twisted pair/newer copper and finally coax.

That was a good introduction to the service. I would like to get u-verse hear but our area is a little rural so att just offers dsl here. I have directv currently and like it a lot but u-verse seems like a very good value compared to cable. I keep reading about u-verse hd quality gradually increasing. I think they keep on coming out with better codecs to get a sharper hd picture with the same amount of bandwidth.

I had both AT&T, and Time Warner. I pick Time Warner, cheaper, and faster. My internet speed for timewarner is 30mbps, while my AT&T was 3mbps

TV and Internet shut off on me 2 hrs ago and it's been shut off for at least 15mins. Not sure why it keeps doing that every weekend. ATT Tells me that they are updating their software. I doubt it since it randomly does it now and then.

Yes, thats from the computer to the router, but your "real" internet speed is from the router to the ISP, and I only have 120kbps.

nice video, i always wondered how the total home dvr thing worked but it sound cool and I like that you can record 4 shows at a time because i can only record two and if i am recording two show i have to watch one of those shows

Anything is better than cables super compressed mpeg2 HD. Verizon FIOS seems to be the best but Uverse isn't too bad. i would ftth with FIOS like speeds though.

i have uverse. The phone is good but the TV freezes up sometimes. Also the internet has been reallllly screwed up lately. I have to restart every 5 minutes. Its ok other than that though....
