I don't know what the background of multiple wives in Islam is, but for me i see no problem with it. In fact a household would benefit from more wives on a few levels.

Just to clear up on the multiple wives, Gaddafi didn't have two wives at once, and in Islam, a man is allowed to have upto 4 wives at once. This is mostly because,there are more men than women in the world. 10 million more women in Russia than men, the same number in Germany. 20 million more women than men in USA. If every man marries one woman, there would be a HUGE number of single women, who would probably take up prostitution or other depressing channels. I plan to have just one wife though!

Besides, the only reason why there are more women in those countries than men is because women, on average, live longer than men. The ages where the "surplus" of women exist is between 65 to 100 years old. Curious how men are not marrying the much, much older women.

And I really have no problem when a woman marries more than one man, but have you read about HIV aids? And how its caused? Heard of crabs?I wouldn't advise you to marry many men. Before the age of blood tests, a women wouldn't be able to know who fathered her child. Surplus of women are found in all ages

@shezishaikh Nope. For every 100 girls that are born, 105 boys are born. More males are born on average in every nation on earth. The only point in time where the gender ratio favors women is in their old age because more women live longer. Your argument is moot.

It is still mostly men who go to war, do physical labour, buy and shoot guns at each other and are more prone to dying - at any age - contributing to a much larger female population. And come on, statistics don't lie. Apart from India where female abortions are predominant, most countries have more women than men, middle aged mostly.

@shezishaikh So you are completely ignoring China who is currently having a surplus of about 30 million men in their country? Listen, it is FACT that more boys on average than girls are born. Look it up on wikipedia, every gender statistician knows this. There are also 3 million surplus of men in Nigeria. The whole idea of there being such a huge surplus of women is unfounded. If you use this to support polygyny, tell men to marry widows aged 70 to 100.

Thanks Morris for these two very interesting interviews with this very personable guy, I enjoyed listening to both of you.It must be very hard for him to watch from afar how his country is being destroyed. To me it seems as if he's holding back his anger, probably not least because he doesn't want to risk exposing himself to reprisals by the British authorities, which is very understable of course. But he has every right to be angry and call the situation what it is: a barbaric heinous conquest!

Yea, he was hella cool. He was in the elite crew but his name popped on that list plus, he'd made "a lot" of enemies on his way to the top. I hear "a lot" of great things about the projects he did for Libya and all of Africa. His self-created official title was the 'King of Kings of Africa'
