haha, awesome. Did the same thing back in 2007, was brilliant, can't believe how much time has passed since then! recently saw the cambrian (couple days ago) with the black five on, but sadly didn't get a chance to attempt the chase again for old times sake :(
@danzwook thank you =) it was your video that gave me the idea to do this although it was a pure luck moment when it happened. I've plenty of videos of this years cambrian to upload but sadly none like this =( ah well, maybe next year
@andygin thanks mate, it was a fantastic experience. What luck that she was right there and that we had a clear road ahead. Shame she won't be on The Cambrian this year.
I have to say that was fantastic one of the best videos I have ever seen! It made me all tingly just watching and hearing it!! thanks for such an amasing vid!! 5*
Magnificent. A bit of sand on, about 30 percent forward gear, wide regulator and away it goes. Great way to treat a locomotive with small wheels and a good capacity for acceleration. That is, get up to line speed quickly and keep it there.... no mucking about.
Cheers mate , we were going to film her leaving the station but as we were approaching the bridge she was just leaving and we knew about the road alongside the line and luckily there was no traffic so it all worked out perfectly in the end :-)
thanks yeah it is a very good camcorder although i was going to get canon fs200 but nobody had any in stock but then i found this one and im glad i got it :) the only thing i dont like is that it has no external mic input but i only really wanted that to reduce wind noise but i made do with a wind muffle and it works pretty well.
If America could once again make these fine machines, we could turn around this economic collapse and be the envy of the world.

THAT was worth doing! Well done. (What the word needs is a £50 Steadicam) :-) but that was excellent. A very unusual view. 5 Stars! *****
