What a Super Bowl it would be if the Green Bay Packers defending championship vs Denver Broncos the underdog what a moment....... no matter who wins itll be great to see two great teams.
Go Pack. I remember that game, its what made me a Packers fan. I was 6 and felt bad for GB, ever since I've seen almost every game. Congrats Bronco Nation.
Was it Micheal Dean Perry, the fat boy who couldn't run to the sidelines in time and cost the Broncos the game against the Jags in 1996, their 1st opponent in the 1996 playoffs. Yep. fact check.
when mobley knocked that pass down the whole city went nuts im from the mile high city and when the game ended people started chering outside cars were honking it brought tears to my eyes im a bronco fan i bleed blue an d orange and im proud to be a part of the bronco nation then now and always!
7:44 a classic. notice how there were NO flags - today - in the pussyfied nfl - where there isnt even any kickoff returns anymore because someone might break a nail - there would have been a 15 yard flag on the broncos - which could have changed the outcome of superbowl 32 - a possible ejection from the game and then later - a 50,000 fine by the pussyfied nfl comissioner/front man for the owners. ahhh yes!!!! this is when the nfl use to be a game still!! r.i.p. nfl
@303MileHigh420 1997 season was also the last that "SHOULDER PAD HITS" were legal on ALL QBs. 1998 NFL banned shoulder pad hits on (MOST) QBs. Defensive players though were still allowed to hit Roethlisberger,Vick,McNair,Garrard,Donovan McNabb and maybe a few more I left out. Yep Corrupt league. Thats how P. Manning played 13 years. Mannings career is cut in half if he was shoulder pad hit, hell Manning maybe nothing we won't ever really know.Article on internet about banned shoulder pad hits
@skywalker7327 yes, youre right. when peyton manning and the colts lost to the patriots in the afc championship game in new england - the colts got the nfl to change a rule that allowed corner backs to jam wide receivers for 5 yards off the line of scrimmage. after that - manning broke the nfl single season touchdown passing record of dan marino. the nfl has changed from football to passball and now they are trying to ruin the product even further this year by taking away kickoffs, its sad man.
@303MileHigh420 Yeah then Brady broke the record with even more BS rules over protecting Brady. I remember when Patriots would run score up in late 4th quarter even though they would be like 30 points a head. The LBs and DBs would never blitz Brady and hit Brady. I mean if Patriots are five hundred points a head You don't have to worry about them scoring more cuz game is way out of reach. So then you should GO after him. Oh yeah, NFL is now complete bullshit. Yeah its really bad now
@303MileHigh420 The Colts didn't change the rule, it was going to happen regardless, but that didn't really help Manning throw 49 touchdowns. That was just a magical season for Manning, he hasn't gotten over 33 TDs since, and the rules have been the same. NFL is more passing though, and the rules suck, but it's for the Fans, even though us true fans would rather have a physical game with running, but majority of NFL fans now want high scoring shoot outs.
@thispoorguy the hell they didnt. the colts showed game footage at league meetings and complained to the nfl about the way their receivers were jammed by the patriots - and then magically manning goes and throws for 50 fucking tds and the rule change had nothing to do with it? LOL please! get your facts straight. that rule changed the entire way the game has been played - this is now passball not football anymore - now you pass first and run last because of the rule change - get with it.
@303MileHigh420 Colts did argue for the rule change, but they didn't actually make it happen, the league was actually on verge to change it, the Colts pretty much just sped up the process. That doesn't explain how Manning has only had 1 season of over 33 touchdowns since the rule change. Anyways, if you look it up, there are statistics that show that scoring has been the same from 1995 to 2010. No change at all. 1970s and early 1990's are the only times NFL had low scoring.
@thispoorguy the colts made the rule change happen by complaining about the jamming of their wrs after the afc championship game against the patriots. manning, brees, rodgers, brady ect and so forth have had HUGE passing seasons -yars and tds SINCE the rule change - so who are you kidding? you dont have 2000 yard rushers anymore now you have 4000 yard passrs with 35 plus tds. the rule changed the way the game was played - run first to open up the pass later - now its passball.
@mrmajikjr the nfl changed the 5 yard jam rule for cbs on wrs after the afc champ game between ne and indy - anfet indy complained to the nfl - after that you have passing records rodgers brady manning ect... being broken left and right - so you obviously dont know what youre talking about.
All this talk about Terrell Davis and Elway, OK fine 2 great players but what about the defense.Steve Atwater the man, hard hitting safety. What about Defensive Coordinator Robinson, Great plan they got after Favre and nailed him. Great Blitz scheme. After this sadly NFL got soft and started to over protect QBs
@skywalker7327 Why are you changing your story nigger. You said on another post that the NFL is protecting white QBs. Not your saying the NFL is over protecting QBs. Make up your mind nigger.
Robinson did a great job calling Blitz.Give Denver Defense credit too. They went after Favre and nailed him.Denver blitz on every play and hit Favre too. Todays new soft NFL under Roger Goodell, you never see this anymore.QBs today are way over protected.
Lol, in the wildcard game against the Chiefs, Chiefs had a field goal and a TD called back, the following year the Chiefs got a letter of apology from the NFL and the following year Challenges were incorporated in the league.
@303MileHigh420 Actually 1970 - perhaps you should study Football history before you toss out fact fool. Chiefs are 1/2 in Super Bowls with a 50% win Percentage. Broncos are 2/6 with a 33% win percentage. Absolute trash lol owned.
@ChiefsBulls587 oh ok - 1970 - i was off by 8 years my fault lol nice - its only been 41 years since the chefs have gone to a bowl - aka - the chefs are irrelavent and have been for a very long time. the broncos are 2-6 in superbowls? SINCE WHEN? no i dont think so idiot. the broncos are actually 2-4 in super bowls - with BACK 2 BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS and the BEST QB OF ALL TIME, so why dont you try practicing what you preach and study football history before you comment- idiot. now go blow!
@ChiefsBulls587 youre calling me a moron and youre the dumbass that thought the broncos lost 6 superbowls until i educated your know nothing ass - fucking clown. how in the fuck would you know what a good qb is? the chefs best qb was elvis grbac - LMAO!!! no wonder why youre bitter as hell. btw - why in the fuck are you even on this channel? this is a broncos superbowl 32 video - so stop hating and kick rocks - jackass.
@codeking32 everyone thats anyone knows elway is the greatest of all time- put elway on the 49ers in montanas shoes - with a fucking pro bowl / hall of fame lineup that won montana all those bowls - and elway would have won 10 championships. montana the best LOL show exactly how little NFL sports knows about QBs.
@303MileHigh420: I know, I'm a Elway fan too. If he played in Walsh's west coast offense or the "Air" Coryell passing attack he would have won a ton of championships and superbowls. It just wasn't the system coaches used at the time because it was too complicated.
@codeking32 look at the players that montana had around him - hall of fame / pro bowl lineup: jerry rice - roger craig - tom rathman - brent jones - ronnie lott - bubba paris - john taylor - matt millen - charles haley -pierce holt ect. half of those guys are hall of famers and most went of them went to probowls. elway NEVER had players like that around him when he was taking the broncos 2 the superbowl in the 80's. elway drove those broncos teams to superbowls on his sheer talent alone.
@303MileHigh420: Oh yeah, Walsh was smart. He knew how to use the draft to get talented players. Under his west coast system those players were destined to win championships be in numerous pro bowls and get in HOF. The Broncos traded for him for 2 players and a draft pick and Reeves was banking on him to win games for them with average receivers and no running game.
@codeking32 elway would have won more championships than montana did with the 49ers if he was in san fran in montanas place. montana had a hall of fame lineup around him and honestly should have done much more than he did - if elway was in his shoes - elway would own all superbowl records - wins/yards/touchdowns ect. elway took the broncos to superbowls that the broncos had no business being in practically all by himself with little to no help thats why he will ALWAYS be the best.
@sXeReaper Football is cyclical. They will come back. That is what pathetic college football fans do not understand. Just like SEC fans. They think they dominated for ever when in reality all but Bama was everyones bitch. back in the day.
It was awesome that NFL Network names this the #3 Super Bowl on their Top 10 list. About time this game got some national props- it was truly epic in every way.
This is by far one of the best Super Bowls of all time. I may be slightly bias because I'm a Broncos fan , but this one was great because Elway was at the end of his career and had yet to win the big game. Not to mention it was a very competitive and hard hitting game. I loved it.
Yeah eugene robinson should have watched his mouth, his packers during 1997 lost to the colts, and played a completely different team during the superbowl
This was great! I remember watching this and when the Packers scored on the opening drive i was like here we go like 8 years earlier against the 49ers! But we held tough and ran it down Green Bay's throat and finally won it!
@TheAFCman vs the 9ers my broncos brother we shut them down on the 1st 2 series & held an early 3-0 lead only to see it dissappear real quickly like after bobby humphrey fumbled the ball right after we had just forced anothe punt only to give it back to em & they never looked back after that the turnovers flowed like the niagara falls & the nightmare is 4ever burnt till the late jan afternoon & i got to see Mr John Elway hold up the Lombradi & as a broncos fanatic it brought a tear to the eye...
I'm sure John Elway sees shades of what he used to be in Tebow but won't admit it. I'm sure he knows that if Tebow keeps playing, he'll turn out to be great just like him. I can't wait for the new season to start, because I want to see what Tebow has learned from John.
