i watched this movie when i was 9. now im watching it again for 2nd time. and i watched one indian movie a few years ago with the same story line as i remember. That movie reminded me of powder. adapted or remake i don't know either.
It's just heartbreaking about some poor kid's deformity. And as an adult, I still feel like a young teenage kid with several deformities. I felt Powder's pain. And I want you to show some empathy for him, too. Like you show some empathy for me. Autistic people, Albinos. They have hearts and feelings and souls, too. It's just that some people in this world are just so cold hearted. Like this comment if you have a heart.
wow, this is a lot like Edward Scissorhands (except more realistic parts of course, save for the actual scifi). Jeremy isnt as cute as Edward but he is in his own weird albino way <3 and of course Jeff Goldblum is cute as ever.

My strikes where not direct or i would have been vapor, but i have problems around electrical fields. i have blown light bulbs. I get strange feelings from this movie. I am a super loner. I feel comfortable around dogs because i don't hear their thoughts. People don't really think much about anything. I bad for humankind. Pray for Japan,please

I can see now why this film didn't get great reviews, it's very heavy-handed in terms of acting and story-telling -- not unbearably, but distractingly so. This would have made a better episode of The Twilight Zone versus an entire film. Still I've always been curious what I'd missed and thank you greatly for uploading it. Not only that , but aware of his mothers death and the lightening that struck him, and rejection of his father, it seems he could of change the world. But, fate, as we know.. lightening disfigured him, making him a monster in others eyes - I don't get it through hes scrutinized for being too white and he has a bold head.

@AnastaishaRIOT its a film. it didnt really happen. you shouldn't need somebody to tell you this. in any case, other than the sensitive equipment keeping the baby alive, what do you think anybody could have done to "help" the baby?

I bet the baby sensed his father's hatred toward him and that is an awful thing for a baby to know, I hate that he can senses people feelings especially when it is just a baby. For the love of God! I heart just broke listening to that baby, I cry everytime I see this film. It ticks me off when people don't take having children seriously. That baby is his, if he didn't want him, he shouldn't have impregnated his wife.

@AnastaishaRIOT its a film. it didnt really happen. you shouldn't need somebody to tell you this. in any case, other than the sensitive equipment keeping the baby alive, what do you think anybody could have done to "help" the baby?

@AnastaishaRIOT In this movie the scenes were they don't say anything are the most meaningfull, the baby calms down when his father aproaches him, but when he realizes what his father is thinking about him he starts crying again... and it hurts him to hear his dad say that he's not his son... :'(

this movie is the best way i can describe the full ability's of the mind over matter and energy over mass. if you think of it World, be glad we are all not born like that, or even hear each others thoughts, if we had the full use of our brains, i think we would all kill each other be for we even hit that plain of existence.
I think if 2012 dont kill off, we are going to do our self's in bye way of war anyway.

Well, if we could use all the power of our brains, probably we would not need to stay in this dimension, i mean, there's no use to stay on this 3rd dimension if we are capable of protecting the world, i mean... Well, the thing is that all the brain power WILL be used to good when achieved, Powder IS the perfect example, he made his choice(helping people) so the world(or god, since the nature and everything else is connected) will let Powder use all his brain potency. That's how world answers (:
