I'm 20 as well and have been straight shaving for about 16 months, I'm not too nostalgic but I do find it helps me relax and as lynn says it helps start the day in a better frame of mind ^_^

I have 3 of my grandfather's straight razors and they are all german straight razors made before WWII. I wouldnt buy a non-German straight razor.

I can't tell you how fascinating this is to me. Watching you name the parts of the razor is like watching someone bring something back to life.
I'm a college student, too, and I'm drawn to this for the nostalgia more than anything, but it's really given me a lot to think about.

@chente006 I think the only American made razor is the Hart razor from Classic Shaving. At least for now.

straight Razor feels the best, but i remember first time the barber put one to me i was shaking so much in fear, but no cuts he was very skilled.
