There have been rumours that Persuaders! incidental music will come out on cd, but sadly the tapes have been misplaced! So until someone finds them, we'll have to watch more episodes... :P

It is sad that they made only one series, but then again we don't have to suffer the characters getting tired and stories bad. :)

I too was aware the music was great even back then when I was a child. 1rst the chilling overture by J.Barry, then Ken's music with all those catchy tunes. Many of them could have been sung by pop bands. That is so true that even the suspense parts were catchy. The dreamy xylophone, bongos, flute, deep bass and the edgy guitar... Classic. To me Ken Thorne should be celebrated as he deserves it. Please mr Thorne, Like thousands of fans, I can't wait for the cd. I NEED to listen to them all.

Great score by Ken Thorne, the composer of INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU (1968), SUPERMAN 2 (1980), SUPERMAN 3 (1983) and HELP-THE BEATLES SCORE (1965) and finally, MURPHY'S WAR (1971). No doubts about the great composer than is KEN THORNE.

I agree with esser! Network have released cd's of Randal & Hopkirk and Man in suitcase most recently, but Ken Thornes' Persuaders! was best! A classic for a timeless, classic show!

Many thanks to all of you for your super comments on the music for "The Persuaders." It was all written in 1971 and I had over four hours of music in my library at the end of the series!! John Barry was responsible for me getting the job. (We had the same agent!!) I've had many requests for a CD of the score from quite a few countries. I'm still trying to find any tapes that might exist. I haven't given up hope. I'll be happy to answer any queries you may have. Ken Thorne.

You literally set the 'tone' for the series. Some of your nightclub music reminds me of Barry's treatment of the nightclub music in The Public Eye.
