I always thought Tamyra's performance was way overrated..

Alexis was really good but the songs she chose weren't the best for her.

Was never a fan of Christina but I did like that performance by her.

#3 look how low she holds the mic. she must be songing from out her lungs.. I think the performance sucked.. nothing special

#2 it was nice. yes she is a good karaoke performer!

#1 she cut her shirt and made a skirt thingy? She should go to project runway.. maybe better luck there than with singing

#3 Was shouty, screamy, and not as good as people say. I think it was pretty mediocre, a 6/10 for me.

#2 I thought it was little pitchy, but she had a lovely voice. Its just I dont think she's #2 worthy. Still was a VERY strong performance.

#1 Loved it, Love Christina!!! Didnt deseve to be at the very top, but it was probably Top 7 or 5 worthy. Anyone know what Christina is up to these days???

Ok i dont get how these two are ahead of Tamyra....Alexis is younger ..and? She did not end her song more unique at all, she just tried to add some bigger notes to the end, which wasnt needed. Plus singing a Whitney song is always a risk, she didnt have the chops for that. And Your number one pick......riiiight im shock she was in the top ten. This of course is just my opinion, and i know this list is yours :-)

Alright, Tamyra, yes of course she was great, fantastic! But I chose Alexis and Christina ahead of her because of a few things. Alexis is younger, dresses better and ended her song more uniquely. Christina just played up to the cameras really well, even though she did an above mediocre performance.

Those sound like bizarre reasons to put them ahead of a clearly superior performance. And Alexis simply ended her song the way Whitney did (though not as well), so it's not all that unique. And while I grew to like Christina, her vibrato is all over the place here.

fullheartedly agree w/ tamyra being there but that alexis lopez performance i don't even consider top 10 and that's definitely christina christian's best performance on AI but not best of all the women on seasons 1 and 2.

I have to point out:

1. how awful ppl dressed in the first two seasons.

2. I hate the backround music. Piano doesnt suite all types of music.

also this list seems a little biased in favor of the females.. i cant even remember seeing a guy on here..

Christina Controled herself when she sang and had a very dreamy voice. and Alex wasnt no where as good as christina because if she was she would of made top ten . only reason christina was kicked off was because she got super sick.

True, Christina was a great singer, but you can't say Alexis was no-where near as good as her. First, the Finale was between Justin and Kelly, who were BOTH in Alexis's group, and it was the toughest group. Christina got booted off because, even though I liked her, other people outsang her - look at the Top 8, she was in the Bottom 3. Why? Because most of her performances were a bit mediocre and people were getting sick of her voice.

In seaon 2 semi finals I thought that Equoia Coleman who sung "The Way We Were" and Rebecca Bond who sung "Caught Up in the Rapture" was off the chain, especially when coleman made the top 3 of her group. They would def be on my list, but to each their own.

American Idol Rewind comes on where I am, and they are recasting the semifinal rounds of season 2. This weekend, they going to broadcast the widecard auditions. Yeah, rebecca was unique, but thats what I liked about her, and her smokey singing voice and performance.

I liked Julia when i saw her in Hollywood Week because the other girls were so slack to her and she had to wait 4 hours for nothing. She faded entering the Top 12, and I think she lost fans because she did the old "Justin's what do the audience think" override to Simon who wasn't even critcising her. Also her last name is...strange. In the Semi Finals it was "DeMato" in the Top 12 it was "DaMato"

Christina needed to be in the top 10 . out of all the girls she controled herself and didnt scream or picth out in her song. Alexis had a nice voice but she couldnt hold a condle to ant of the girls in the top 10 Kelly. Tamarya, Christina,Ryan, maybe Nikka

if she was that good of a singer she would of been signed all the other girls were signed

Alexis did get signed, but she's doing rock now. Okay, I agree she's not as good as Kelly or Tamyra, but she should have gotten in the Top 10 instead of A.J FOR SURE. I thought Ryan was good, but she didn't do too well in the Top 10. Christina was awesome, I think everyone had a crush on her at some stage. Although Alexis may not have won, I thought she should have gotten in the Top 10 to be given a chance at least, you know, to improve like Kelly.

Gosh, everyone thought Tamyra was just so awesome back then and compared to a lot of girls that have gone through the competition now, she's really just mediocre. Jennifer Hudson could clobber her vocally and she didn't even win.

...And how did Alexis Lopez not get into the Top 10 and people like Christina Christian did?! WTF is up with that?

I still think Tamyra is awesome, sure Jennifer Hudson has a greater range, but Tamyra had better stage prescence and her voice was more versatile. I agree though, Alexis should have been in the Top 10 instead of A.J. Christina deserved to be in the Top 10.

Ummm... I never said anything about Jennifer Hudson and being in the Top 10, I was comparing her to tamyra...I think you're mistaken, I was talking about A.J not deserving to be in the Top 10, not Jennifer. She came 7th in Idol 3 btw :)
