  • Holy smoke! I love it!

  • This is a nearly 100% perfect demo. But I wish the vectors had correct perspective.

  • Woah! One of the most incredible C64 demos. Evar!

Thanks for brightening up this day.

  • genial music......

  • Agreed, Batman Forever on the CPC craps all over this.

  • @KevHal Amstrad CPC: Zilog Z80A at 4MHz

Commodore 64: MOS Technology 6510 at 0.985MHz (PAL) or 1.023MHz (NTSC)

  • If you'd shown me this when I was a kid, I don't think my brain would've been able to comprehend it! Amazing demo.

  • Kinda sad that it is taking more power for my computer to watch this in flash than it takes for the Commodore 64 to run this.

This demo is absolubtely amazing, added it to my favorites list. This is why I love my commodore.

  • @art2art: Your realization is most brilliant and profound, I love it!

  • Watching this, I realized that to the guys who did this, what you call "limits of the machine" are in fact "characteristicsof the machine."

  • These pictures are awesome.

  • Very good recording of the demo!

What did you use to capture it?

  • Nice to see a good q full length version of the demo :)

  • contd. - On the other hand, it runs quite rubbish on my CCS64 emulator (the FLI’s and other high-precision timings are flickering, loadings fail at times, etc) so it was a pleasure to watch it here in full. Thanks again :)

Hail ’Boose Design’ and the whole sixtyfour scene forever! And oh yes, greets to all my old mates! ;)

  • Thanks for posting this overwhelming artwork. This really sets up a worthy tribute for the C64 and its legendary world.

It is a piece of art that is truly unique and tremendous – both in quality and quantity. This monstrous coding and paintwork refies a new and magical dimension of demomaking. I can’t get how this can be cried down; may it be a manifesation of envy. -will be contd.

  • True PAL, no emulation, straight outta hardware.

Correction to earlier comment: TV-modulator, not video modulator.

  • Yeah! True pal emulation? :)

  • The colors are exactly like the VIC-chip outputs them through the C64's video modulator, chroma and luma - that's svideo.

If you actually mean the compression artefacts, they're generated by Youtube's transcoder.

  • Thumbs this prod down for 2 reasons :

    - I'm not a graphist but something with the capture's wrong, too much brightness or saturation ???

    - This demo tend to be boring after watching it 3 or 4 times. Impressive -I know that so much work/effort has been put into- but nothing really original, always the same : A killer effect, a transition, a killer effect, a transition...men you know I love you but try to make something new and very original.
