  • It's very interestinf to ear this ant then bwv 93. It's one of the most important choral in lutherian lithurgy. It's worth to study the text

  • This has to be the ugliest paintings that exists of Bach. If it is Bach at all who is represented. I like to think it is not. My dear! Only from the 3rd painting on, it is "acceptable".

  • @jsnauwaert I am not sure but don't think it's bach. It seems to be Schluber

  • BTW, the hymn title, "Wer nur den lieben Gott läßt walten", taken (of course) from the 1st line of the 1st verse, is a dependent clause and not a question, so no need for a question mark.

  • Of the many YouTube uploads of this work (BWV 647), this upload has the best tempo, articulation and registration. BWV 647 was originally an aria duet from cantata BWV 93 ("Wer nur den lieben Gott laesst walten"), on YouTube as

Note the text of the aria is the 3rd verse, not the 1st verse, of the chorale

  • I don't play organ but it's a real plausure and surprise to listen all voices in the same time very clearly + to be able to follow the text of the choral. I definitly choose this interpretation.

  • Fantastic! I love playing the Schubler Chorales. This one is really fun to play. This organist interprets it wonderfully and has superb articulation and clarity of lines. Good registration. The best I've heard at these chorales is Helmut Walcha - but this organist interprets them better than any I have heard since Walcha.

  • Thank you! I play all Schubler Chorales ...
