I just saw that 4-disc DVD on a mall here on our country. It was also an ultimate edition but is different like the one you had. Yes, it includes the 4-disc DVD PLUS the official soundtrack of the movie. I was saving money just buy that!

your limited edition box looks amazing !!!!! i love the wizard of oz, its a childhood classic that is not only for kids, i watched this film a few days ago and watching it now i noticed so many things that just passes us by as kids, also there was so much i had forgotten about the film too. its just a classic and as you say so much special effects for that era that were wonderful for its time. thanks for this walk down memory lane ...

That's awesome. The Wizard of Oz is a great movie and totally not gay... definitely the best movie to come out of the 30s. Speaking of musicals... have you checked out Sparks' new album yet? I just got it on double Vinyl lp in the mail a couple days ago. It's pretty good!

Goodfellas is amazing. I've been meaning to watch The Wizard of Oz again for a while now. It's such a fantastic movie... all great "kids" movies transcend their target... What's so important is the element of darkness in them.

Do you guys have a blu ray player? Seeing movies in 1080p is like seeing them all over again.

can't imagine what they will be doing when they begin the 100th anniversaries. if i live a healthy life and nothing bad happens to me, if i live to 90, i may witness the 100th anniversaries of all the classics up to the 1980s films, maybe a few '90s films!

I, too, liked the Wizard of Oz and I am quite secure in my masculinity. Definitely ahead of its time special effects wise. I'm usually not a big fan of musicals, but I like the music in it.

That was a good deal for $50! I think the watch is cool! I remember watching the movie in black/white TV. I didn't know it was in color until a neighbor let us watch it on their color tv. I will never forget the wonder and awe when Dorothy opened the door to all that color in Munchkin land. Life was never the same after that.

The Wizard of Oz is an all timer... But I try to stay away from most DVD purchases. I have tons that I bought with good intentions that have never been watched.
