Haha, Wait a second we don't have cheerleaders and floating guiness everywhere in Ireland. xD Plus we don't have diddle idle music on the radio everyday. In fact we hardly have it at all. I'm so jealous I wished I lived in Japan.
There are heaps, but this is coming form a guy that lived in a place where the average time a person stayed was a few months to about a year. We had heaps of Irish backpackers stay with us during the time we rented our place. Great people.
Irish wolfhounds, guinness...thats hilarious. But why do the japanese celebrate this holiday? Its for the Irish, only Ireland and America should really be celebrating this holiday >.>
ohh man those cheerleaders look the same and i mean the SAME from my high school cheerleaders..... check em out just google GULF HIGH SCHOOL.... u'll see
I have personally never seen an Irish St. Patrick's day parade (let alone ever been to Ireland), but that is what I have read. In my home of Chicago we used to go all out, and St. Louis also has a pretty strong celebration too. In Seattle they have sections designating the county your ancestors came from, and start singing.
I love how a lot of japanese people are as interested in foreign cultures as we are of theirs. Japan has a rep for being racist, but it's just more protective of its culture than we are. See how accepting they are of a tradition as long as it doesn't impede their own?
@cheezeofages i agree a lot of people say they're racist cuz some stores have signs that say no foreigners but the truth is they probably dont speak english and find it dificult to communicate with foreigners. so really as long as you speak the language they will let you in
No worries. I don't understand how America can mix up Irish and Scottish traditions, so I don't think anyone will be able to make head nore tail of these Japanese mistakes.
omg u guys were looking at the peeps like there were two fat women having sex...well i think u know what i mean...........but not to sound racist but those where the first black dudes i've seen...awesome about time....but if only they were younger -_-
I think I need to go to Tokyo next St. Patrick's Day.
Also, I think there are few things better than Peeps in the microwave, but some quite spectacular ones are bars of soap and glitter. Or both together. :3
wow. Japan seems way more lively on St.Pats day the we do. I mean they have parades and such and the most we do (New Mexicans) is pinch someone for not wearing green XD
wow....any people who are irish or of irish background, including myself, should be insulted! i'm pretty sure that japanese people aren't irish last time i checked...*sweatdrop* and yet they have more spirit then us!
I am feeling old. When I lived there 25 years ago, they never heard of Patricks' Day... What a commercialistic opportunity! Whee! I guess it's the beer companies :D
You took the words right out of my mouth, I live in Northern Ireland and you can call it what ever you guys want as I dont care any more. I just want to get out of this dump, there is absolutely nothing to do here, I get nothing but abuse and everyone is back stabber or a user. Also people here are ignorant as hell. So sick of it here, thank god Im going back to Japan in July!!!
xD Wow, haven't checked Youtube in a bit. Interesting to see the people there. I like the walking beer can. xD; And the guy with the Mohawk. That was quite a culture clash. :] Glad you had a good one!
I just can't get my head around this. I've watched it like four times and I still wont sink in. It's a a very odd dream. Dude thanks for sharing this with us. its so cool!
Green Suspenders for the win :) Its surprising how much more celebrated it is in Japan than Canada (where i reside). I suppose it has a much more exotic appeal in Japan.
hey i think thats Tomo (the guy with green mohawk) he spends his day usually around yoyogi park busking(he wears a hat sometimes but you still cant miss him), he worked in paris for a while as a chef, kev say hi to him if you see him around.
Wow that's interesting. It looks just like the parades where I am except there are less Japaneese people. They have floats I belive too... No... thats for something else... But they've nbever had a floating beer thing. I've seen those around. I guess everyone DOES celebrate st patties. That's cool. Thanks for the upload too.
Lol. It's like some otaku is just like "gotta get my camera under there..." when she was up there. So bad.
Question that you may have answereed in a diff video: what % of the Japanese population speak english? I want to visit but i know absolutely NO japanese
Hehe this is real sweet. Though I don't much understand why there are so many tartan clad, bagpipe playing people in that parade :s as thats a Scottish thing. I guess people get confused hehe! Love your videos :)
1:43, is that a scottish flag? Wtf!
DeadlyPoisonedCandy 10 months ago
@DeadlyPoisonedCandy
I saw no Scottish flag but I think I might of seen a Welsh flag.
Incase you where unaware but the Irish,Scottish,Welsh,Cornish,Manx are all Celtic ethnic people.
Scots/Irish are Celtic Gaelic ethnic people, indiginous to the British Isles, Insular Celtic.
Welsh/Cornish/Manx/Bretons (France) are Brythonic Celtic people, Indo-Europeans of the west.
All of which are extremely close going back past the ice age to even today, and celebrate there culture and ethnicity.

Because of the strong Irish immigrant population all over the world.
