Oh, I definitely could! In fact, when I was at the dealer, they had one of the firsts on display. But I looked at the price difference and the rebates they were offering on '09s and realized I could always come back and upgrade later. Frankly, I'm extremely happy with the Z51, and the GS doesn't offer much over it. Stock, yes, Z51, no -- not for the price difference.

I'll wait for the C7.

The "scan me" emblem is called a "beetag". It's for smart phone users on the go, and if it is scanned by a smart phone, it will take the user directly to the another website (it's equivalent to a hyperlink). In this case, it takes users to corvette's facebook page for more info about the Corvette Racing team.

Guys, let '09 go. Let's just have a great '10 season, the first, full season of Corvette GT2! We'll beat everyone on the track, regardless of the circumstances, no asterisks, no "payback" non-sense. I say this as someone who not only believes Corvette has become the world's premier supercar performer (thanx to technology transfer from racing into the C6 and beyond), but I furthered my support of GM by putting my money where my mouth is with a new '09 C6 Z51 purchase last year.

Corvette driver Ron Fellows got punted off course one time around 2001 season. TV reporter kept trying to get Ron to bash the other driver, but Ron kept saying, "I'm sure the other driver didn't mean to do it, we're all driving right at the edge out there". He kept smiling, and was such a gentleman. I became a fan of both Ron AND the Corvette team. Formula One is so full of crybabies. The Pratt & Miller guys are ALL incredible to the fans at the events. Great ambassadors for GM. Win LeMans!!!

@JeffInDFW I met both the Compuware Corvette team and the old CTS-V team from a few years ago and I have say the Compuware guys are much more fan friendly. The CTS-V team wouldn't give me the time of day. The Corvette team signed autographs for me and gave me a handfull of posters.

Form 1:00 on you notice these guys did not express any anger about that crash. To me it looked like the Porsche deliberately pitted the Vette and brother was I po'd to see it.

These guys are beyond pro to keep it so cool and/or get over it so completely. "Just make the car faster to avoid him next time."
