@borgqueenx I will do when I get around to buying a usb DMX controller haha! I have done a handful of parties since this video with this laser and my other kit.
@borgqueenx Yeah it was the camera unfortunately. This build is actually finished now, the DMX wired up and all... I am quite tempted to swap the green for a blue laser though.
Hey, I'm an absolute newbie in this area, and I want to learn how to do a TTL modulation on my dragonlaser. Do you know any good site or guides for newcomers?
What laser is it you have? If you have a laser pointer than you cannot use TTL modulation, if you have a module then there should be a cable or socket on the power supply for TTL.
I have a 73nm 20mW Blue Laser from Dragonlaser, and it has TTL>2kHz.
There are two small cables (black & red) sticking, and I guess this must be the TTL, but I'm wondering if there is a controller unit or some sort of USB converter that I need to use, to begin using the TTL.
Nice, blue lasers are amazing! To create shows like my video above you need more than just TTL. To keep it simple, TTL just switches the laser on and off quickly... On its own it's pretty useless, but when its being reflected off a moving mirror it creates different effects by flashing in certain patterns and speeds. My suggestion would be to search on how laser projectors work as it's a little complicated to explain with youtubes 500 character limit.
no problem! make sure you get a video of your lasers ;) I would love to have a blue one but just don't have the money for them... they are so expensive
I have a laser projector that does most of those preprogrmmed pattens, I bet the 8bit microcontroller starts with MPC89.....
