There are many cool thing about reading tablatures, but overuse of it will make playing bass like a math.

I recorded it via Behringer Xenyx mixer and used amp simulator & compressor software and mixed up with backing track. no effect, filter or magical thing here :)

What would you suggest. A Fleabass or Fender 50s P-bass? P.S I usullay play things like the beatles and some other classic rock songs. Oh, and I currently play a Hoftner Viola Bass but at some times I found it to be too hollow and light sounding and doesn't slap and pop too well.

Hello, Yeah I think Hofner Viola bass is not a versatile bass.

I suggest you to Fender P bass, It's what I want now ,2009 model is quite interesting many improve (graphite reinforced neck, string thru version). Pbass slap sound is real chunky but kinda nice, everything else is classic!!!

imo If you want a Fleabass you have to modify it at least pickup replacement.

Thanks! I'm getting a Squier 50s Classic Vibe. I really wanted the sound in the video so I could get the more Jazzier sound. The hoftner is great and all for Classic Rock (Minus things like My Sharona) and Blues but not Jazzy enough.

Junior is a short scale bass.

it has 30" scale length (measure from nut to 12th fret x2)

Model 32 is a regular 34" scale bass.

so tempted to get one of these, but they are kind of pricey.. have you had problems with it staying in tune? some of the reviews show some shoddy craftsmanship

They are pricey (14,000THB), I read reviews at talkbass and see many flaw for the quality control process but I satisfied with mine. there are painting flaws, low output pu. (but I kinda like tone of it maybe I'll replace or not),low quality stock string.

But most of all think this bass really give me some strong "INSPIRATIONS" to play to create to have fun with. and overall design is really good (some cut at the neck joint really gave you full access to the very last fret).

I love this bass.

yes, it is stock pickup. but actually this bass is passive.

So I recorded the bass  via mixer to sequencer program (ex. sonar, cubase,...) and use some of bass amp simulator program.

I think both 'Pro' & 'Junior' but it's depend on what will fit to you best. Junior bass in this vdo have a little loose string tension, Kinda easy for me to play, but i have to use sometime to get used to the shorter neck. Thanks for watching.
