well Jews have lived in Jerusalem since around 1500bc. it is their most scared city. in 1948, after the war of independence Jews were expelled from East Jerusalem by the Jordanian army and Jordan forbade any Jews from entering any of their holy sights, which broke the 1949 treaty. After the 6 day war in 1967 when the IDF unified Jerusalem again Jews and Christians were finally able to visit their holy sights and the city again without fear of being murdered.

The big temple was there and was destroyed by the greeks one time and the roman the second. jersualem, more specificlly under the location of the old temple, is where we believe the world started. jerusalem has forever been and forever will be the most sacred place and most important place for the Jewish people.
