i agree, there are definitely great american artists out there, but the mainstream stuff.....the songs are usually catchy but the lyrics are really shallow =/ just looking at some of the top songs right now.... til the world ends by britney, on the floor by jlo, give me everything by pitbull....all super catchy and i do like the songs, but theyre all basically about sex.

@siumai2 I love EH; there's no denying that. But the poster above me gave the impression that Asian music in general is inherently less shallow than American music. I think that's a big fallacy. Look at K-pop. What do they sing about? Girls, love, boys, abs, sex(albeit more subtle than their American counterparts).

Not all Asian musical groups are as talented or creative as EH. That's for certain.

@TehBadTouche saying this as a fan of big bang and super junior, i'd have to disagree. big bang and super junior are talented and they have good songs, but their songs can't match epik high's level. epik high creates music that speaks to those who feel the pain of isolation from society or to those who're angry at the world. of course, this is my opinion. i mean, if you like songs that are basically about love, then you would like idol groups. btw i'm a huge fan of DBSK so i'm not hating..
