@mardigrasmama I'm not sure that I have one, they all seem to have their little downfalls. I'd say the closest thing I've found is either Estee Lauder Double Wear or Revlon Colorstay, but they're both very heavy so I don't reach for them on the weekends when I'm not working. For less coverage, I think my favorite is Mac Pro Longwear.

when you set your foundation do you sweep it over your face with a brush or do you pat it on with a sponge? I have a shiny oily t zone and ive never been sure what method to use.

@bld1124 Usually when I set the foundation I sweep it all over with a fluffy brush, and then later throughout the day I'll blot with a sponge/puff. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, just whatever works for you.

because its only light coverage, Im not going to buy it :( soooo disappointed cause I really want it to work for me :P

@YellowSocks94 I actually need to update this video, because I'm liking the Lasting Finish a lot now. I'm not sure if its because they've reformulated it from 16 hr to 25 hr, but I've been wearing it a lot lately and I like it. I'm going to do a review of the lasting finish 25 hr soon. I still like stay matte but I agree its not good coverage.

Im using revlon colorstay at the minute and to be honest, I miss my rimmel lasting finish :(

I havnt seen the 25hour in any shops near me yet :O I hope it comes soon, Id love to try it :)

I just bought this foundation tonight, tried it and loved it! It's my first purchase of foundation and I'm turning 22 this month.  I had a bit of redness around my nose and chin so I decided to try out foundation finally. Rimmel won me over with its price and was worth a try without feeling like I wasted money if it didn't work out perfectly.

I really like your reviews, i puchased Stay Matte because I have had enough of high end foundations all of a sudden. i hope this will help not too look like a ghost when I am being photographed. @Bshell1502 No I haven't. I actually got rid of my lasting finish because it was getting really old and I never used it, but I am interested in trying the new 25 hour formulation. I wonder if it will be any better.

does anyone think these foundtions would be good for prom? i have two pimples on my forehead, prom is in a week, and i have combination dry skin with scarring on my forehead :(

@LopsidedCircle I would do the lasting finish. Its better for dry skin, and lasts longer. it also has more coverage.

@LopsidedCircle I think a stippling brush or a regular foundation brush is fine with this product. No need to go buy one if you already have something else to use. Personally, I just dont like to use my fingers or a sponge but thats just my personal preference. Thanks for the compliments, and have fun at the prom!

@MsAshleyCrim oh i'm sunkissed in the wet n wild tinted moisturizer..that might not help too much since it is a tinted moisturizer but i'm really worried about prom. i don't wear much make up at all and i don't want to look like a cakeface or too tan/light

I used to use Rimmel Stay Matte in the color 101 Porcelain. I liked that it stayed pretty matte and I agree with what you said about the staying power, good but not up to the claims. This wasn't enough coverage for me and I think it accentuated my pores on my cheeks. The color wasn't right on me, sorta orange. I am a fair-light complexion. I liked the packaging. Now I use Clinique superbalanced (liquid) and I love it! Great review though :)

Yeah I have color 101 and 103, and I'm not sure either color is the perfect match. I like the product alot, but I'm also a huge fan of Clinique SuperBalanced and Clinique Superfit. The coverage is pretty light, so I use it depending on my mood and what I'm doing that day. I'm a foundation junkie so I switch off a lot and always trying new things.

I just recently bought the Rimmel in StayMatte and I also have the Long Lasting one as well..I am 100 ivory in both,,and I have to agree with the things you said about the Staymatte..I use the smashbox primer mostly and whatever foundation Im using..it stays..lol!But the staymatte I will maybe only use it say,on the weekends,as I do like full coverage while Im at work..but thats just me:)Good review,thankyou!
