It is far from "playing soldier" we are an official auxillary of the US Airforce and volunteers. We wear Military style uniforms and practice the same customs but it is also Government funded
Why does CAP wear bdu's, even when they're doing a search and rescue mission? They aren't in a combat zone, they're a CIVILIAN auxillary. It seems as though it's for people that want to play soldier.
@PFAT82 Darkmatter265 is Very right, the Civil Air Patrol works closely to and with the Air Force as a military-type organization and it's far from "Playing Soldier". CAP does a lot more than you think.
