@stevobadmoonster Thanks! I used a Sony CX7 camcorder. It's a typical small video camera for home movies. I didn't have a helmet back then so I did everything handheld.
Awesome! I've been looking for videos to psych myself up to get an MG V7 Classic, and this was just what the doctor ordered! Now I just need to sell my wife on it.
What an excellent video/record this is! Has to be the best MG youtube vid. Love the reflections haha... Can you tell me about that neat screen/fairing? Never seen one over here in the UK. Enjoy the ride :)
@nstaib Thanks! I'm not sure where the previous owner bought the screen. It does look cool though. As for wind protection, it's very little or none at all. It might even be worst. I don't know. I haven't ridden without it. However, if I duck behind it and lay on the gas tank in an awkward position, it does block the win.
I've have that fairing, bought my bike in Zurich, Switzerland, after a yr rode it back to the UK :), just needs new plates and back on the road again. As for the fairing I believe you can get it in Europe but not sure where, does hold off some wind as well :)
What a wonderful trip you had! I'm planning to get a V7 Classic, I just love that bike. Just a little thing: Guzzi is pronounced "Gutsi", not "Goosy" ;) Great video!
Rex- great video! You inspired me to get my first GTV 2 years ago- per your other video :- ) I am about to get a Moto Guzzi V7 (black) this week! How do you like the V7? Thanks for the great videos!
Great video and love the bike! I'd love to hear about the differences between the v7 and the SV you previously owned.. I'm aware that this thing probably has worse brakes and suspension, that it's slower etc.. but a nice subjective comparison would be great. I've got a bike similar to the SV (the kawi er6) but I can't stop looking at those modern classics.
@dbauernf Sorry for the late reply. They both ride differently. The V7 has a lot more rumble and vibration (which I happen to like ;) I don't ride the V7 as hard as I used to ride my SV (cornering, braking, accelerating, etc.) The V7 hates cold starts (but I've heard it gets better in time. The previous owner didn't ride this one much so that might have contributed so some minor issues). Both bikes have the cool factor but the V7 gets a lot more respect from what I've gathered since owning it.
@ranabout Thanks! Good eye on the Breva. Actually, he's my friend who met me halfway. We rode all the way to our destination. Sometimes a journey like this is just too epic to experience by oneself. Share the adventure!
Great video Rex, the Guzzi is a true modern classic!! Know you'll have to write a song about the Guzzi :) funny how it came from SD and you took it back to SD. Thanks for sharing your trip!

You have to stop and enjoy the roses and other rotten smells. It will make the memories a very tangible thing.
