Gel liner does smudge. I have hooded/monolids, and every type of eyeliner I use smudges, and the same goes with my friends. That's why I went ahead and got my eyes to be permanently double ( no surgery though, just the use of false lashes and eyelid tape for a few weeks straight)

My uneven eyelids are actually permanent..

I woke up one day from such a tiring night before, and I suddenly noticed I had like three creases. It wouldn't go away for a week or two, I was getting so worried because my first day at High School was going to start soon too..

When it did go away, it left me with one eyelid bigger than the other.. it's terrible! :(

This is great. I swear, this is why I need more Asian friends because every time I talk about having a "bad eyelid day" my friends are like, "Wtf are you talking about?" Whenever I point out how I look like Quasimodo when I have an uneven eyelid day they tell me that they have no idea what I see when I look in the mirror. Either my friends are too polite or blind or both because it's SO obvious when the eyeliner for only one eye is visible.

I have doublelids but sometimes I will get a higher crease on the other eye wich is fine, but once I got a high crease on one eye and a single eyelid/ monolid on the other wich looks in even more wierd, super annoying!

i hate my eyes. i have monolids and the eyelids have lots of excess skin which even pushes the lashes down. so basically the lashes cover my entire eyes. i cant even do anything with them. i decided to get double eyelid surgery next year

Hey Jenn, i love that you did this vid, my issue with the unevenness though is that my ssanggapeul on my left eye is very distinct and I have to go real heavy on the lids... And go above my crease otherwise you wouldnt see it in the creased eye... Any suggestions on how to fix it so I'm not lookin like I'm going out to the club during the day lol

Hi Jen :) I also have uneven eyelids, but rather than having one as mono and the other as double, both of them are double and uneven. One double eyelid is big and the other one is small - barely noticeable when I look up. The difference is really really really noticeable :( I was just wondering if you can give me any tips as to how to apply eyeliner? I have tried various ones (since my eyelids are very oily *sigh), and I really don't want them to go to waste because of uneven eyelids. Thanks!

omg, that's not even uneven! one of my eyelids is a double eyelid like sandara's, but the other just won't flip in! >=(...so it's like folded ontop of itself, and creates a larger crease. i have to manually flip it in and glue it until the crease stays. xD

hi jen! i like this idea! i never really knew what to do when i had uneven eyelids..i'll have to try this sometime. have you tried the milani retractable glitter eyeliner? i picked it up after you mentioned the milani liquif'eye. it has a built-in sharpener and a smudger and stays put all day long! i was pleasantly surprised! the black and terra brown colors are prettyyy cool!

does the edge of your eye (outside) ever water when eyeliner/shadow are applied? mine does all the time and it basically erases the eyeliner on the outside so the top and bottom dont meet. very irritating!!!

I feel silly... I didn't even know that this was an actual problem. I am white, but the skin on my eyelids folds over on itself, and sometimes I have woken up with one eye with a bit of a crease, and the other looking closer to a monolid. I thought it was just me! Neat tutorial. It completely evens out the lids!

It's kind of strange but I used to be monolid, but 3 years ago I started having a crease on my eyes... But when I was monolid and woke up with a crease in one of my eyes I washed my face with cold( really cold!) water or put ice packs on the eye, it helped my eye to go back to normal.

This tutorial is great because it doesn't use the trick of having to use false lashes (which I normally do if I wanted to even it out) but it always adds such an extra and dramatic look.
