I saw Jimmy open for Clapton in Memphis and when Jimmy played Texas Flood I did not recognize it until he started singing the words. Not to take anything away form Jimmy being his own artist but Stevie he wasn't.

What bothered me about this video was that with all that talent on stage, Jimmy played all the solo parts. Didn't quite understand that. But I love the song. Maybe it'll be sung when I go.

@Armadillojewels It's not about who's better. Music isn't a competition it's sharing and communication. Stevie and Jimmie will influence each other that's natural. Some of the influence is conscious, but alot of it is by osmosis and subconsciously learned. You can bet when they were growing up together that Jimmie showed Stevie some things when he realized that Stevie was serious about playing. As a player of this music for 48 years.. Ya gotta dig deep into your soul to touch folks in their soul
