TRUE AMERICAN ART, THIS!!! The dirty grit of the in your face New York attitude is fucking DEFINED HERE!!! The fact that they could bring their onstage sound and attitude to their studio recordings is a feat in itself. What they're bringing, whether onstage or off? It's REAL, AMAZING, AND THE FUCKING TRUTH!!!!
I was at the Whisky shows. Arthur Kane was there, moping around, out of commission with his arm all bandaged up after being attacked by his girlfriend. As I recall he did play a little, but his friend Peter Jordan subbed for him most of the time.
the Dolls were the real shit.the whole band is tight like a 10 year old asian school girl's cunt but JT always is in the centre of the spotlight. He always stole the show from all the other members(despite the fact that they were all great)!!BTW awesome sound for such an old recording!!
@tatethompson1234 I love Pete Jordan who did play with the Dolls from 74-75. He played on the infamous vinyl Bootleg, Dolls live in Dallas. Sadly, when Arthur died, Jerry Nolan, Billy Murcia and JT were already gone, but I agree with you that Peter should have been the New NY Dolls...Superb bass player and was always there when Arthur could not play due whatever reason...
R.I.P. Billy Murcia Colombia LOVES YOU
