i was so lucky to catch this band live at hamburg stadtgarten when they played the tour for this album back then. took a spontanious 2 1/2 hours ride with a friend, got a parking lot right in front of the venue, snatched 2 of the last 10 or so tickets, got seats with the greates yiew towards the stage, it was open air on a real sunny yet not-too-hot summer's day, and the gig started just 10 minutes or so after our arrival :-) talk about a perfect day and treasured memories...

Don't really dig Pat's playing here. I also think both guitarists have crappy tone, to be honest when judged by this recording. Obviously, they are outstanding guitarists - not trying to hate here - but I'm just not feeling this one.

He used to play through a Roland guitar synth like Friipps. The one he's playing now has a different headstock than what he used in the 80's.

He also used a Synclavier. I know they costed a lot, but that's all I know about them.

Yes, both guitars sound pretty ugly and thin (eveb Pat's Roland Synth tone) so I hope it's the recording. I suspect so.... but they playing is inspired and well worth hearing.
