Is there anyway to remove the pull start without drilling out or damaging the rivets ? Because my pull start broke.

Well if you can find a junk engine somewhere, you could just get a new front cover off it, or if you feel up to it, you could take the pull start apart and figure out what went wrong and replace it.

If its just the rope that snapped and the recoil isn't fucked then get a new rope thread it through and use a needle nose pliers to push it in the recoil and burn or not the rope at the end. you can also glue it to the recoil but a don't recommend it, an it tek long have patients lool

Hey chuck i found out that they make diesel go kart engines and if u look hard enough I bet u could find one at a good price. As far as I know they have the same hp as a briggs but have waayyy more torque. There's some vids of them on YT

Looks like you did a good job to me.. The deal with your nuts coming loose, you can use those nuts with the Nylon inside.. also called Aviation nuts.. they are made not to vibrate loose.. You don't want your 737 coming apart @ 30,000 ft LOL Cool Video Chuck..

The Bolts would have held (If doubtful, double them up (2 nuts). Would have been a better option. Its kind of funny. Seems like even with factory gasets on those 5hp briggs. They allways seem to leak oil. Your homemade seal should work well.
