@jamesmutual1 - As far as I know, in 2006 JV was diagnosed with a kidney disease, which eventually led to his demise last year. I'm sorry I cannot answer your question. I posted his video on YT because I had a director account which allows me to go over the 15 minutes maximum. And we had become friends. He began painting in 2006 and between then and the time he died, he always had the "Hapag" kids (the ones in the painting) in his mind and heart. I think he devoted his life to the kids.
