  • Ian walked away haha

  • Wat een DOM wijf, dit vraag je gewoon niet! Ik geef hem groot gelijk dat ie weg gaat!

  • Ik was vroeger verliefd op Adeline van Lier

  • Worst interview ever !!

  • I don't blame Ian and Billy for making their escape, but I really like Jamie for sticking around and answering some questions for her. He really does seem like a sweetheart.

  • Jamie is adorably shy and cute..Ian just drop dead sexy..

  • ah.. thanks for the post Kinburst. Those were REALLY the days- not all that pretentious posing we have nowadays.

  • Did she mistook India for American Indians?

Or they were also into India at that time?

  • No she meant American Indians, and Billy and Ian were taking the piss by turning the conversation round to Indian food, ie curry. She didn't get the joke.....

  • In NL we have our "old land" Indonesia, before ww2 it was NL just as Suriname was as well, many immigrants from there came here and their food came along what we call "indisch" food is sounding like Indian and in 1986 I think not so much Indian restaurants in NL but many "indisch" meaning from Indonesia...thats the explanation I can give you its sounding thesame but pple from UK are more used to Indian food from India and not as we in NL used to Indisch from Indonesia

  • Wow was that chick interviewing them rude and annoying!!! Why do they ask such ignorant and rude questions. I'm glad Ian just walked away!

Ian grew up in Canada when he was a kid. He became well entrenched in North American Indian culture and his friends were Indian kids.

His dad was a merchant marine and thats why Ian was living in Canada. Parts of this culture and lifestyle and imagery comes through in their art or used to anyway. So there ya have it. PEACE

  • That's hilarious :-) And Ian is soo cute when smiling :-))

  • Never heard Jamie speak before lol

  • Nice little interview. As a devoted Cure fan, I was really pleased when Jamie, the Cult's bassist said nice words about The Cure.

  • Wonderful,I was at this gig,no TV material but I have the whole show on CD

They played 2 new song that day,Electric Ocean and Love Removal Machine, best versions ever and during She Sells Sanctuary there was a problem with Billys guitar and he had to switch from the Gretsch white Falcon to a black Gretsch.

    Great stuff,best Cult period 85/86.

    Jamie is so kind.

Jamie is the best bass player EVER.

  • You lucky DOG! I wanna hear that CD!!

  • haha damn is dat katja schuurman?

  • No her name is Adeline van Lier

  • Comment removed

  • swinginghenk its adeline vanlier

  • ..Urgh the very last thing you do is interview a band RIGHT AFTER they just performed, you need to give them time to chill out & relax.

  • All hail Kinburst!!!

  • excelente!!!

  • WOW!

  • Absolutely the best Cult area, 1986. Look how great Jamie looks, with the best haircut i have ever seen. Great bassplayer, certainly if you listen to the live shows of 1986. For instance, see the Provinssirock videos, also on youtube. For me, Jamie is the best.

This interview was done right after The Pinkpop-gig, as you can see, on May, the 19th. There is no tv-material of this show, however, the whole concert is caught on tape. Joris, '81

  • Ian initially got my attention but Jamie came to be my favorite member - just how he is as a person - so fundamentally decent. I have their Pinkpop show on cd - my favorite live versions of Love and Electric Ocean.
