  • So the smoke isn't real, its just his guilty conscience that drives him to suicide?

  • @scorpion6782 read the tell tale heart by Poe you'll get it

  • im in love with this video, it shows how guilt slowly takes over your mind. 100/10

  • That's nasty???? Wth y is there smoke breathing.. Or a gun lolz just me

  • What makes this really creepy is when the smoke is coming out of the gun it sounds like someone is breathing.

  • That is the same bathroom as the one in Cleansing, am I right? Cleansing Part II!

  • as soon as he put it in the dresser , i knew that it was gonna be a tribute to Tell Tale Heart :D

  • guilty conscious

  • glocktime baby !

  • I like the Shakespeare reference in this, when he washes the gun. Reminiscent of the scene where Lady M washes her hands.

  • "Villains!" I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed! -- tear up the planks! -- here, here! -- it is the beating of his hideous heart!"

Every film I watch here I see more and more potential for full length features, though the beauty of them might get lost along the way. So tooorrrnn.

  • @0Lottee0

LOL after i read the story in 8th grade language arts i started yelling it at random times. like if i was caught doing something, or didnt know an answer, or if i just felt like it!

  • 3:34 wtf is that on the bottom left

  • @hazahaxa smoke and fog

  • the smoke signifies conscience

  • I really like your films but I must say your website forum put everything you've done to shame. this is what I call Horror! seriously now, do something about it. all I wanted was some extra information about your work and what I found was pathetic.

  • edgar allan poe rules read "the black cat"

  • can someone explain this?

for stupid people like me :D!

  • @xXKeksyXx the best way to explain this is to read the tell tale heart by Edgar Allan Poe, which is about a man who kills this rich old rich man (because he had false eye, i dont really remember any other details) who lives in a mansion, he sneaks into the mansion at night and stabs him to death, then he chops up the remains and puts him under the floorboards after awhile he can here the old mans heart beating under the floorboards, this drives him crazy and he ends up turning himself in

  • that guns trolling him

  • ...it also looks like the same bathroom from "Cleansed".

  • intense.

who doesn't love Poe. :-) fabulous tribute.

  • Man, that guy needs to clean up his apartment.

  • Whoever did the lighting and cinematography on this one is amazing. Reminds me of Fight Club and Seven.

  • very nice!

  • awesome as usual

  • See what happens when you get high kids? dont do drugs.

  • Wonderfully done. Just a fantastically done tribute. Very nice you guys.

  • @midnitegun the breathing of the smoke saves lives??? ...ok then.

  • I love this and 2:18 - DO YOU THINK THAT BED IS QUITE BOUNCY ENOUGH!?! lol

  • That is one disgusting bathroom...

  • Wowww ;o

  • that is the most aggravating noise i've heard in my entire life.

  • Convincing facial expression. Whoever the actor in this piece is I see future for him. A great tribute altogethere.

  • i am totally addicted now..........thank u so much! :)

  • This reminds me of Tell Tale Heart. :P

  • Anything having to do with Edgar Allen Poe is a winner in my book, & because you all rock there was no chance of you runing his ideas like so many others before you. Bravo, much loves!!

  • Id just take the gun apart, problem solved

  • i loved the tell tale heart

  • At first, I didn't get which Edger Allen Poe poem this was a tribute to. But then when I realized this guy was trying to go to sleep and the gun was still smoking, I realized it.

*snaps fingers* "The Telltale Heart. Wow. Absolutely genius. I can't wait to see how it ends."

And I DID expect him to kill himself. Great ending. :D

  • Great video :-)

  • A really good adaption of the Tell Tale Heart. I especially liked the footsteps to emulate the heartbeat. Very nicely done.

  • Nice i loved gonna check out some stuff from fewdio peace

  • I fuckin love Telltale Heart!

    Great job Drew!

  • TTH FTW!

  • i love this guys!! !telltale heart is one of my favorites!! totally picked up on it when the gun was smokin this is amazing!!!

  • That was amazing. Utterly fantastic, the way the guilt manifested itself was pretty awesome :D

  • Beautiful work, lavishly filmed, intense build up for the viewer, great montage shots of all the places the killer attempted to hide the gun, and one hell of an ending! A+++++++++++++ to FEWDIO Horror!!!!!!!

  • 4:07

    "I CAME"

  • Can't. . . stop. . . watching. . . FEWDIO

  • based of the telltale heart correct????

  • This is the equivalent of having blood stains that won't come off.

  • Very well done. The lighting was superb. The acting was executed with great skill. The concept was excellent.

  • wonderfull!

  • fool, why didnt he use a knife?

  • What was fantastic. You made something creepy out of somthing you wouldn't think would be creepy!

    Amazing...

  • you guys are awesome keep up the good work !

  • Outstanding rendition of the Tell-Tale Heart. I loved it, brilliant performance.

  • Do one on bloody marry that whould be shiit scary :)

  • This was definately ideal for bringing the tell-tale heart to a modern audience. The movie was superb, although I have a suggestion. I think it would be a good idea to shed light on a lesser known Edgar Alan Poe story. Otherwise very cinematic.

  • loved it now do the raven

  • A great job like always. With the smoking gun that makes him crazy like be beating heart from The Tell-Tale Heart. Awesome

  • I assume this is a tribute to Tell Tale Heart?

Very good tribute, if that be the case =)

  • you got it. And thanks!

  • I've been looking for modern adaptations of Poe's works. While the Roger Corman adaptations are very good, it would still be nice to see Poe's stories updated like this one.

I've noticed a few Lovecraftian elements in some of your films too; good literary taste!

  • What would've made it SUPER PERFECT was if right before the end, u saw smoke come out the man's mouth. THAT would've been SO the shit.

  • Hey Bangonem - that's actually a REALLY cool idea.

  • WOW!!! thanks, that actually means alot, I don't mean to be picky but I always like pointing where somethings could've been just a little diff & maybe better.

  • That would've been great =] Good idea

  • @BANGONEM Yea I was actually expecting that to happen! But it was still really good.

  • the gun his crime and the smoke is his guilt made physical...brillant

  • It's the beating of the hideous heart!

  • tell- tail heart

  • talk about guilt comn by and kicken your ass

  • Great Stuff, nice rendition of the Tell-Tale heart

  • fun with hot ice!! haha cool vid

  • Very well done. I loved this one, Curse, Cleansed and Marie. It's how they tell the tale of a bad deed never goes unpunished. Very cool.

  • OMGZ0RZ Ur ViDz are tEh Pwnz0RZ

  • lol a girl at my school talks like that in person i taught her lolol. i didnt know other ppl went overboard with the zorsz tozorz well see yazorzz

  • **WARNING CONTAINS SPOILER**

I heart the heavy breathing sounds and how the alarm stops the same moment the gun is fired.

    **WARNING CONTAINS SPOILER**

    Very well done!

  • fantastic

  • i would've just thrown the gun in a lake..

  • Didn't Paul Hungerford come out in another one of your movies?

  • Yes, Paul is in MARIE, NINJA CLOWN MONSTER & CREEP - he's also one of the 5 principals of the FEWDIO horror troupe. He directed DOOR 17 and the upcoming BABY SOUNDS.

If you wanna say hi, he runs the Fewdio MYSPACE and FACEBOOK pages with Dave Schneider.

    :)

  • Wow, thanks!

  • Hehehehehe

  • lol - irony.

  • haha. i get it. what an idiot. great tribute. tell-tale heart.

  • Well done.

  • This was a great spin off of Tell Tale Heart very well done you guys are to good

  • for ppl who haven't read a tell-tale heart... he's just imagining the smoke, it's not really there, it's a hallucination because he's so frightened i guess. i love this modernized version of it.

  • I believe it's a comment on morality. He is plagued by the smoking gun as it symbolises the guilt he is carrying. It is his own conscience that will not let him rest until he has paid pennance for his crime. The theme is also very well used in a Brad Anderson film called "The Machinist," starring Christian Bale

  • Poe is amazing, he is the father of horror stories.

  • can't disagree with that :)

  • very nice :D

  • i go to school with an ancestor of edgar allen poe

  • I think you mean a descendant

  • Great tribute 2 The Tell-Tale Heart

  • How did you get the gun to smoke like that?

  • A stick of incense, pulled out at the very last moment before we rolled.

    ;)

  • We actually will be releasing all of these on DVD later this year - mid 2009, most likely! Stick around. We're still launching a new film every 2 weeks!!

    :)

  • Great acting by Paul Hungerford. I really felt his pain. You should do a film where he plays Poe.

  • Very nice, modern bit from tell tale heart, only with suicide.

  • The Tell-Tale Heart?

  • You got it!

    :)

  • You can hide it in the wall or hide it a box...madness always finds you.

  • An excellent homage to Poe. I'm sure he'd have loved it, in between bouts of depression!

Now do one for Lovecraft. Everyone fucks lovecraft up on film, but i bet you guys could Nail it.

  • Hmmm... BOUTS of depression??

  • Either the Director or the Producer suffered from Massive blunt trauma or they are certified geniuses! But, I assume the latter

  • I love this actor - great pathos

  • sniff sniff* mind if the ghosty smokes...

  • Brilliant!

  • Good Job ^^

  • Wait never mind i think i might get it..

Does this have to do wit like that story were the guys kills a dud puts him under his floor bored and then he like keep hearing the dudes heart beat that he killed so he kills himself or something like that

    am i even close???

  • yeah that's it - i think it was called the telltale heart

  • I love that one story! Didn't he murder him because of his eye?

  • It was really cool!!

    But im kinda confused

    Why was the gun smoking?

    Why did he shot himself?

    ?????

    Someone please explain!!!

  • Like the guy in the Poe story, this guy committed a crime. He feels so guilty he imagines he sees the gun smoking. Like the beating heart reminding him of his crime. That right, Fewdio?

  • Genious, best from you in my opinion.

Like the more psychological ones, where the line between reality and just madness is erased, and you're not sure yourself as a viewer.

    5/5

  • Nice tribute to Poe. He's one of my favorite writers, and i think this would make him proud.

  • I loved it. The Tell-Tale Heart is one of my favorites by Poe and this was great. A gun ACTUALLY smoking.

  • the smoke alarm reminded me of the old mans heart beat and how the murderer kept hearing it after he put him under the floor board

  • Horror3000 : That's it exactly. Woohoo! It made sense to someone other than us!

    :)

  • ah...the tell tale heart....a classic story, an excellent retelling.

  • Ay, pretty good :b

    badump... badump...

  • The Smoking gun ... ha!

  • great

  • Not scary, but definitely may be your best. It was as if the gun itself was alive and wouldn't let him forget what he's done.

  • fab

  • WOW!

  • definately a modernized version of Edgar Allen Poe, good work

  • Love the short story. Very nice take.

  • Excellent reimagining of Poe's greatest.

  • a magnificent piece! a great tribute to Mr. Poe! i love tell-tale heart! fewdio did a fantastic interpretation! kudos!

  • Great tribute!!!

  • if you ever want the craft whore in one of your films... i can make that happen.

  • tell tale heart?

  • I have to write a new review.

Ii juusut baught the Edger Allen Poe book, and now I LOVE this one :) . love his work. Love the short.

  • Wow how do they make such high quality videos? Are they a homegrown group or a large corporation?Either way the videos rock!

  • Seriously, some film school and a good camera can work wonders.

  • Dude, check out their website. They're anything but homegrown. They've worked with Tarrantino and Spielberg... but they've gone indie. there's a reason this stuff fuckin' rocks.

  • Great film, freakin' loved the take on Tell-Tale Heart!

  • That man has a "Tell-Tale Heart"

  • Very chilling :)

and the Edgar allen poe touch was genius!

  • Another amazing piece of work guys. It just keeps getting better.

    :0)

  • dude this is freaking fantastic!

  • wow this video is really great. five stars and two thumbs up from me!

  • its the tell tale heart but a different version personally i think that this is an exelent video but it would have been better if the police had come to the apartment and saw the smoke and starting asking question ultimetly leading to the end were he shoots himself thats my opinion on how to make this better still exelent vid.

  • This video won't play on my computer for some reason. Refresh refresh refresh! Must... abstain... from... reading other... comments!

  • Definitely poetic with the smoke gag. Way to build the tension by setting off the fire alarm during the climax. Love it, as I am a fan of all your work. Are you all based in LA?

  • Exellent video! This really did a good job in portraying the feelings of guilt one can have.

  • One word.... Beautiful

  • Lady Macbeth washing her hands... a timeless theme. Nice work.

    <3

  • It appears as though you guys made a homage to The Tell Tale Heart. Good choice. Definitely a classic. I had this feeling that their would be a screamer but you guys are better than that. How did you guys manage the smoke coming out of the gun and such? Cigarette?

  • onox37: we used ACTUAL captured ectoplasmic smoke... That and incense, cigarettes and a smoke machine, depending on how much was needed for the shot.

    ;)

  • You guys are brilliant! :D

  • And to think, looking up videos and finding a random comment bringing up 'Easter Bunny' brought me to love you guys. Great homage to Poe!

  • PityOnThePawn: lol, I know, right? well we're glad you found us!
