this should be made into a dance game for the wii. there are dance pads availible all ready, and they have already had dance games where moving the remote and nunchuck act as arms. it would be an epic win if they did that for this dance and hare hare yukai (best dances ever)
You have to set the buttons for the 2nd player and the most important you have to set the start button for Player 2 to allow her (or him) to join the game.
Since Keyboard can't handle that much buttons simultaneously , so I use Gamepad for Player 2.

I have 2 keyboards and me and my bro play stepmania on Oni or Challenging.
I can complete songs with full Chaos, Air, Stream, Freeze, and the other one, cannot remember. And yeah, FC not just completing.

When you start the game as player 1, press start on player 2, then choose versus. If its on joint premium, when you start the game, choose versus.

Basically Stepmania is DDR conversion to computer but for more specific info u can find from wikipedia.

You need to press "start" for the other player in the beginning. Then it'll goes to 2 players mode.
