  • What is Ironica after WWII, is the Alliea killed one monster, but in the end created their own monsters in other countries!!

  • You didnt mention the North Korean leaders!

  • Robert Fisk makes this 10 times better

  • @TheJamahiriya

you ignorant dumb fuck, aje just released a program extremely critical of Saud and its intervention in Bahrain.

  • @allahuberalles Screw you, fucking retarded piece of shit.

  • @Hanniboom Your family story simply adds on to the endless testimonies that the MAJORITY of people of the world aspire to be free from tyranny, be it of a local or a foreign nature.

It goes without saying: fighting against ruthless tyrants is MOST of the time futile & deadly; but once in a while, the PEOPLE do win...

Our thoughts are with you Syrians who've been persecuted by the Assads for far too long, by merely challenging his & his father's dictatorship, which SOME people seem to crave.

  • Perfect

  • funny that alot of whats being said here applys to western governments too

  • @TheJamahiriya as far as i know, aljazeera is actually owned by jews. salam

  • Very good!

I Have only recently viewed your videos.

All I knew of your efforts were allegations of anti-American bias.

Now I'm sitting in the West, where one corrupt news company has three continents in it's thrall, and over the weekend nearly all mention of the scandal has disappeared.

Meanwhile, one of it's properties (and one of your harshest critics) is trying to explain how the massacre in Norway wasn't committed by a Christian.

When it isn't spewing partisan propaganda.

    Ironic, eh?

  • superb documentary

  • Very Good Story..Keep It Al Jazeera

  • @ravirajmahajan I agree. However, I would like to see the same in-depth coverage of Israel's right-wing element and suppression of protesters and Israeli Arabs. (It's NOT as if Israel is REALLY a Democracy.)

AJE tends to steer clear of so many stories about Israel that it is mind boggling.I've posted links to a number of them and they come back and call it "trolling" rather than thank me.

  • Not one of those oh so great leaders has thought of building a giant golden penis that will be visible from space, wouldn't that be something awesome to demonstrate power? They didn't play enough minecraft for inspiration apparently. :P

  • does any1 else remember a few years ago the tin foil hat wearer's predicted this and it has happened almost exactly as they said the only thing was the order in which they would fall wasn't exactly right and they said it was 4 oil, minerals, drugs, money and instability in the region so they have a strategic footing when they start ww3.why isn't the ppl throwing it out there over and over again so we never 4get,u have to remember our grand fathers promise after ww2 they said never again!

  • Will Pakistan attack Israel?

  • Richard M. Nixion said it best. "The tricks that got you to the top, are not the same tricks that will keep you on top"

  • Egypt's national security state sounds just like the United States: FBI, CIA, Secret Service, NSA, Homeland Security, TSA, military intelligence... .

  • @HenryDavidT Hey Hankster, have you told everyone what a Jew hating JEEEEEEEEEEEW you are? I suppose not...YOU prefer to hide behind some pathetic fascist arcade.....This turd @3rni3PL....is he a closet Jew too? You're a turd, Hank...& you have got to come clean....little faggot....

  • I hope the USA stay out of this uprising and let the Arab people fight this battle by thierselves.

  • @Herb615 It's a bit late for "staying out". The US and its allies have been terror bombing Libyan cities for 4 months now, The Bahraini dictator didn't dare to do what Ghadaffi did (arming his citizens) and let Suadi troops crack down the protests, but as long as the 5th fleet has its base there, the silence will be deafening.

  • Nobody dissects the Arab world's dictators (including the little emirs, kings, and sultans) as well as Robert Fisk.

And Fisk isn't a very big fan of America, England, and France gun-trigger-happy cultures, either.

The elder statesman of journalism tells it as he understands it... and it's darn close to the average-truth of what's going on.... No one gets "everything right," but Fisk comes closest to getting most of the "big picture" right....

  • @HenryDavidT I agree, I am a huge fan of his extraordinary intelligence, talent and liberal approach, as well as his most professional take on journalism as it has to question power and authority. It also helps that he's been living in Lebanon for over 30 years... I trust you don't get affected by the occasional stupid trolls that have nothing meaningful to say (most probably they don't have meaningful thoughts either) but being antisemitic and homophobic.

  • @blondecat666 Sometimes I am surprised we have "simple journalists" who are as as reflective & instrospective as Fisk is.

As he said, or should've said, we don't know all the truths --- & perhaps there's really no such things, since all conflicts are so-called because of CONFLICTING claims by different groups --- but if we study history earnestly & honestly, from different groups, to the best of our ability, we can make decently, broadly coherent observations about people & the world.

  • @HenryDavidT I also hope you agree with Huntington on the Clash of Civilizations... I have feeling that Fisk does.

  • @blondecat666 I have not read Huntington (but I've read a bit about Fukuyama) so I can't say anything about him. Generally speaking, I don't like attempts to explain broad human trajectory in terms of specific polemics.

Of the many approaches to explaining human trajectory, Jarred Diamond has one of the most comprehensive. He tries to explain human group dynamics in terms of broad historical geography. That's truly one of the most unique ways to look at human development and competition.

  • I love the late brother Saddam and still-alive-brother Gaddafi the best, as Arab dictators.

They are the only two small Arab dictators that have the guts to thumb their noses at the mighty USA, its small lap-dog Britain, and Napoleon's France, the three most aggressive musketeers in the Anglo-Saxon world....

All the other little 12th century kinds, emirs, sheiks, and sultans... they may hate the "great Satans" of the West, but they keep their mouths shut! lol

  • @HenryDavidT That was a pretty good illustration.

  • The title is amazing. I just think Saddam is a hero... he did what he had to do to run his country.. Look at Iraq now.. LOOK AT IT.

  • @hamadeh26 yes its better now. SAD and DAMMMM Him genocider bastard. Sunnis terrorist Wahabbi Scum!!

  • @hamadeh26 idiot

  • @hamadeh26 "The title is amazing. I just think Saddam is a hero."

    "The Arab Awakening ..."?

    I agree. You're still asleep.

  • Gaddafi, has said he will die there, like Saddam died, I don't consider them cowards, they had the opportunity to run, but the prefer to die, look at Iraq today.

  • @angelusp777 run where to? Sadam and qadafi were so arrogant that they made an ennemy out of every one.

  • @reda02812

only if u knew the support Gaddafi has in his country, who cares about western support? Bush was also arrogant

  • The title seems intimidating
