I actually went to this school about 14 years ago. Although people are right that going to a program like this probably will not help in finding a job, for me it was a step that was good at the time, and it led me to the events industry, where I still work as a manager. As long as people understand what this is and is not, it might be right for some people.

advice from someone who has been there....DONT go to the one the washington post featured in this video...you WONT get your $600 back. try going to a restaurant and tell them you went there and u'll just get a "um we are fully staffed right now...we'll call you"

I always wonders why the recession is so bad..its mostly effecting middle class people. People who have always been poor...are doing fine. I know i am. Its not effecting me at all! i have always not ate out all the time because i cant afford it. I have always parked my own car. You cant learn to tend bar from a school. You have to get thrown behind a bar and get your feet wet. I have never went to bartending school and I would bet money I can out bartend anyone with my 6 years behind a bar.

Someone who has to stop eating at Outback is complaining because they've always lived a luxurious life.
