  • The sad thing about listening to this man playing is the fact that everyone in Ireland has heard of Sharon Shannon, the wee girl who plays a two row box with a piece of sponge where the bass should be, and who makes a good living out of fronting line up of good musicians. Yet it seems to be only people who really like accordion music that have heard of of Seamus Shannon the maestro of the three row,.

  • Yes! But I am privileged to say that all three are and were my best friends. All different and all the same in so far as great and thebest musicians. How lucky I am! But !! You have to remember they play very different box's. The five row being the easiest! I love all three of them. Sadly I now have only two left. But O'B is never too far from my thoughts.

  • I never said he wasn't and I know better than most.Considering Shannon, O'Brien and Stanley were my best friends, two still alive thank god! I think I'd know a good accordion player when I'd here one. They are the best in this country let alone Europe. And three of the best friends anyone could have!!

  • @hennyjess are you an accordion player yourself? I have seen all three of them in action live , maybe not their heydays but still stunning to watch and listen to.

  • Terrific stuff from The Lord Shannon. He's a wonderful player but then i'm a little bias as Seamus is a great friend of mine!

  • @hennyjess , Biased or not you cannot deny Seamus is an accordion maestro!
