they met in the first season, and interacted, but weren't an item. the second season, he lost his memory the first half, and stayed away from her the second half after having a horrible dream. then, in s and onward, they're finally and established STABLE couple, even though mamoru takes more of a secondary role then (granted, he does some important stuff, like lending his life force to chibi usa when she lost her pure heart, but many a time he ends up being a victim).
@cutielover01 Those aren't their names. Their is no english dub just a pathetic joke trying to pass itself off as the english dub of Sailot Moon. It's an entirely different show. There are no dub names and even if there were, they would be Usagi and Mamoru there as well since you don't change names in a dub. The American release was nothing like the original and therefore it and everything about it doesn't count.
