My mind is all aflutter, Oh Krishna, listening to the joyous, enchanting music of your flute, My mind is all aflutter!

    anupallavi

Transfixed, I stood there like a statue, oblivious of even the passage of time, hey, mysterious flautist!

    caraNam

In this clear moonlight (that makes a day of the night), I strain my eyebrows hard and look in your direction, the mellow tunes of your flute come floating in the breeze... my eyes feel drowsy and a new feeling sweeps my being

  • Wonderful.... no voice like hers

  • Comparing Lord Shiva and Saraswathi? Comparing Himalaya and Samudra? Comparing Indra and Varun? Pity on those!

What is little annoying in this keerthana is playing electronic bass in Keyboard (or Steinberg?) with orchestra.

  • iam really melted in this song

  • A keerthanam in Kaanada raagam

  • no... she can not be compared with anyone....!!!!

  • Smooth and elegent

  • Please Stop Comparing Dasettan And Chitra....!

There Is Something Called Divinity, Which Is Evident In Dasettans Voice....!

  • She sang very cool

  • hi, i think it is better to hear the voice of KS CHITRA MAM, and DR.KJYESUDAS saperately. better not to compare. each one has there own talent. one song can be sung differently by same singer.. as i lisened.

any way thank u for singers and uploader by

  • What a wonder full voice .nobody can beet her its what we call heaven voice

  • Music is divine but above religions.. Her voice just expresses the desire in each of us to merge with the Almighty..Long live Chitra.. long live true music..

  • A Classic of Oothukadu sung by evergreen KS Chitra!

  • oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont know what to write .......but am telling u this is really fabulousssssss song........ chitrachechi ningale sammadichirikkunnu.........really Great

  • Chitra's voice is melodious ..no doubt..but there is divinity there in her voice..a quality i could find in Yesudas's ,MS Amma's voice .

I place myself very lucky to meet her personally.

  • SUPERB!!! very melodious voicce

  • amazing voice

  • Melodious voice !

  • chechi ur great

  • I think Chitra's rendering of this song is simply superb. Would not like to compare it anybody's else as each of them has done justice to it in their own way.

  • Althugh, I had listened to and enjoyed this song several times, I did not post a comment till to date ! Reason? Pure pettiness !! Chitra sang this song much better than my idol Yesudas !! After some introspection, I realized that Yesudas will be only glad to admit that Chitra sang this song beautifully well. He is so humble and magnanimous and he will be the first person to say that this is a wonderful rendition by Chitra ! Thank you for uploading this superb song !!!

  • i dont know whether to agree with you or not. i also sometimes feel that this one is better than the YEsudas Version available in youtube.

But then I feel that it may be because of the sweet female voice of Chitra and the natural ability of ladies to sing in very high pitch without loosing a bit of sweetness of their voice

  • pradeepa, randu perum nammukkokke ethan pattatha uyrathilaanu. Enkilum udayasthamayangaleyum mazhavillineyum varnikkan namukkaum avakashamundallo. Chitrayude shabdathilulla vaatsalyam (pratyegichum thudakkathile low-pitch) aanu nammale mayakkunnathu. Enikku artham manassilakilla, ennalum paadunathu yashoda thanneyaanennu thonnippoyi. Nammudeyokke mujjanma sukrutham, ivar paadunnathu kettallo!

  • @MrMadhu13 : Chitra mam has sang this great. But you are making a statement that she has sang better than Dr.Yesudas. I totally disagree. just as a sample please read all the comments posted in youtube for the same song by Yesudas and Chitra. Im reading great awesome singing comments for chitra but in Dr.yesudas people saying comments that there are lot of tears to listening to his version of the same song. He is a great Idol no one could match him . atleast from my point.

  • Great voice. This song is meant for her beautiful voice. I had the previledge of listening to her voice several years ago in concert .

  • i posted this song on my youtube.see if made it as a singer.

  • amazing isn't it?

nice medley type. good the composer didnt kill it by overly doing the western instruments.

  • awesome

  • i love u soooooooooooooooo much!

  • chitra,u r marvellous!

  • superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbb thanks for sharing

  • her voice is like water - its so pure.

  • and very fluid, liberated, transcendental, just like water... water

  • @nobody5690 Yes! That is the perfect way to describe her voice. You should also listen to Krishna Nee Begane.

  • nice, thanks

  • there was a album called "Krishnadarshna" sung by chitra dose anyone have that? It was released by Magnasound in 1991.

  • yes it is..i went to magnasound store in banglore in 99.. to get a copy of this cassette.. but for my bad luck.. they wont sell it for retail...

  • Do you have magnasound store address details in bangalore.

  • either they should sell in decent price or be silent about piracy. Same thing happens in movie industry. Actors and Directors minitng money and get paid to the tune of billions for each movie. Then the movie hall charges 200 - 300 Rs per ticket. no wonder people looking for pirated CDs. If they can make crores by selling non-sense stuff, then why cant pirates make few thousands or lakhs?
