Hey bloc22! It's so much fun to study abroad! I'm afraid that I didn't get to go to the Goong beach, although there's lots of other wonderful beaches, like the one you saw on my video. That's a great plan you have! Penn State is a great university! God bless on all your work! I hope to hear from you when you're studying abroad!
It's my dream to study abroad in Korea. It'd be awesome to go to the same beach from princess hours! (Awesome show and I'm a dude) lol I plan on going to Penn State after I finish two years of community college since they have a good study abroad program. I can't wait! I'm busting my ass right now lol
thanks livia2081. JazzyXEdward and livia2081, there are some scholarships out there for studying abroad, especially in Asia, and more if you want to study an Asian language! so don't give up hope! i college, I think there are more scholarships for studying abroad then in high school. I never studied abroad in high school, but college was a great time to go. God bless!
@kanpekilove OMG!!!! I didn't know you replied back..... I just pick this video and I didn't know I watch this 6 months ago. Me and my friend are planning to go to South Korea through the Sagong Korean Imerrsion program. We both are trying to raise $2,000 plus spending money for exchange trip next summer. The schalorship you use, is it to pay for any exchange program or is it a scholarship through their own program??? Do you understand what I am trying to say???
o my looks like u had so much fun.... i wish to study abroad in korea too but i dont know if i will get the chance .. cost so much and dont know if i will get accept ...
Even if I did apply for a schalorship, I'm not going to win one anyway. I been applying schalorships to Japan and China for 4 years in high school and never won any of thwm. I want to go to South Korea sooooooo bad and Japan too. I am 20 in college, so its too late for me to study abroad. My dreams to study abroad in Japan and South Korea has been crush to pieces. I'll never go and experince South Korea or Japan like you did. Seems like you had an blast.
Just wanted to let you know I found your video while searching for the Gilman Scholarship (on yt, oc). This was a great idea! I really appreciate you giving us a glimpse of your experiences in Korea.
I'm planning on applying for the scholarship; hopefully, I'll be able to spend a year in Japan. But I also got into K-pop recently, so maybe when I'm over there, I'll sneak over to Seoul for a bit! Haha.
thank you for taking the time to comment! I'm glad I could be am ambassador of some sorts for the Gilman Scholarship. Since you're staying for a year, apply for the critical language scholarship too if you're planning to study Japanese.
Do come over to Seoul if you have the chance. Shopping there can be quite fun. After my study abroad experience, I decided to come back to Korea, so here I am in Jeju-do. I hope you get the scholarship and that you'll have a wonderful time abroad.
Hi Anelssi! you should definitely study abroad in college! It's such an amazing opportunity! I attended Boston College, and our school encourages studying abroad in several countries, including the US. A lot of colleges have study abroad programs, so you don't have to worry about that. If you will attend a college that doesn't have a program in Korea, you can apply to an external program, and go to Korea through another school. There are also summer programs to study in Korea. God bless!
i'm still in high school but studying abroad while i'm in college is a dream of mine!! it's been hard for me though to find a college that offers study abroad to korea.. do you have a list of colleges that offer going to korea? thanks for the vid!!
I'm so glad it's helpful for you! It was hard at first, but the intensive Korean language course I took helped tremendously! Making Korean friends were the best way to learn the language! The signs are in English, so you can get around with a map. There are some people who know English, so it's not too bad. I had such a great time!
wow this is really great just what i have been looking for! Thanks for the video of your trip that look so exciting!!! Did you have problems with the language and getting around?

The campuses in Korea are really nice and spacious! Yonsei is quite near Sogang, where I went to school. I think you'll have a blast!
I really enjoy Goong and the other dramas too. I hope to be able to visit the film sites of some Korean dramas, like My Girl and Boys Before Flowers!

I LOVED Goong!!! It's my fav K Drama ever.
I'm planning on studying abroad at Yonsei in a year. The campus is beautiful.
