i kinda know how they felt .i was a deckhand (shipass) on a tiny 199 ton coaster MS MITO sailing in the baltic sea.the sea was nice . one minute i was washing the lifeboard deck (sod from the ex.)next minute i was hanging in the railing out over the sea.a malfunktion in the autopilot made the ship turn full rudder while going 10knots the cargo shifted(lime in 1t bags)35-45degree list and the legs for the 20f gas containers ripped the deck up and withinn 5min we had 80-90degree in10min i was gone
