I think that your right on the communication factor. however I would say that we have a huge group of dumb people in Gen X like the people on here posting vids of burning records. Or the people who are pointing figures each other in ginerall. It is going to be to easy for the media the next 25 to 20 years.

actually, the majority of people who play video games are highly intelligent, especially otaku types who stay home all the time. they have no social life so they just stay home. i think that is a good thing. most people that i find stupid are the opposite of people who play video games

Well depends on the game. Most RPG gamers I know are pretty intelligent. I'm just saying that it is not the most productive use of modern technology, in comparison to activities that encourage growth and learning.
