The logical fallacy they describe is known as post hoc ergo propter hoc. Translated: "After this, therefore because of this." The idea is that Y happened after X, therefore X must have caused Y. That is obviously not true in all cases, but statistics are full of correlations between data sets with no causal link, and that's why they can be misleading.
This adds credence to my belief that abortion is a good thing and should not just be allowed but be ENCOURAGED.
