  • try buying different mags, the newer ones have a wider end and the older ones have a smaller end where the bullet feeds into the gun making it well not feed right.....

  • what ammo did you use in this clip? 1:23 seemed to work good

  • I use CCI stingers in mine, never had a problem

  • i dont get it... half the reviews i see on this are really good adn their gun performs flawlessly always, then the other half is completely bad. what is the major problem here im FUCKING CONFUSED. bout to snap someone in two if i cant make the decision on a good .22 pistol. i want a.22 pistol just to have something to plink with that wont BREAK MY BANK on ammo lol.

  • Ha try using only HV ammo next time I have put 100s of rounds through mine without any issue

  • I caould have told you your problem back in the 1970s when I was 10 years old. NEVER use cheap .22 light loads in an auto. ALL .22 autos work best with hot rounds. CCI Stinger is best. Period. Federal "Bulk" is P.O.S.! Only use crap .22 in revolvers,bolt-action or lever action rifles. Too many greenhorns are out there buying guns and are clueless.

  • 400 rounds of CCI mini mags so far in mine. Not one failure. Shoot the right ammo, she works like a charm. --Alan

  • BTW I have the P22 and am scared to shoot too many hyper velocity rounds in it. I don't trust the casting used in the slide.

  • If you want a good .22LR pistol and don't want the Ruger's like everyone has including me, or the Browning look at the Bersa Thunder .22LR it's a gem.

  • Walther should be ashamed of itself for bringing this POS gun to the market.

  • The first time I used the P22 i had no problems with it, the guy who owned it takes very good care of his guns (works for the nra) but when i went to a shooting range, i was having those same exact problems, i was a little scared actually lol.

  • you need high velocity round mine does the same thing

  • Are some dumbfucks in these comments actually saying "This gun sucks, I'll get a 9mm or .40!" You are comparing a 9mm or .40 gun to a .22? OK then, now take that 9mm or .40 and compare it to the P99, NOT the P22. Comparing a .22 plinker to a full size handgun is about the stupidest thing I have seen all day.

  • i dont have any problems with mine works fine jams once in a wile but you have to expect that from a 22 long rifle cartrage i have a ruger markII target 10 inch bull barrell it jams about the same once in a wile

  • JUNKKKK thanks for video clear choice in getting ruger

  • I have a problem with mine when I put a new mag in and release the slide, the slide stops at about the middle. And after my first mag empties the slide will not lock open. Walther "fixed" it for me awhile back, but I think I wont be looking down the sights on it much longer.

  • its not an issue with the gun itself guys, I took mine to a gunsmith and he showed me the issue. it was just a bad mag spring. he took out the spring, stretched it a little and the problem was gone

  • Cut the spring? Wow... They told me to use mini mags but they are just as expensive as 9mm. I no longer have this pistol. Traded it in got me a Ruger P95 9mm love it.

  • @mudveins Most Jams are caused by "limp wristing" If a pistol does not have a stable hold, it will not produce enough force to eject the shell. Watch video. Notice when gun is held with 2 hands and a tight grip it ejects fine. Actually this can happen with any caliber. We first discovered this when we were experiencing jams every time my wife shot with one of our pistols(a glock actually) but when I shot the gun, there was not a single jam. The range folks saw us frustrated and explained this

  • @mudveins Mini mags are about 7 bucks for 100 rounds, where are you buying factory 9mm for that?

  • I had same issue, even when using mini-mags or similar. Sent back to Walther/S&W their solution...cut the spring...occasionally still happens.

  • sais pas ton flingue qui déconne tu a juste mi des balle de merde

  • The instruction manual pretty much tells you in writing...use CCI mini mags. Seriously 375 rounds for 25 bucks is cheap. Federal and Winchester 22LR ammo is very dirty and not made for the P22. Just switch over to CCI and stop being such a cheapass. Last month I brought the fam out shooting and we went through two boxes of CCI 375rd .22LR in a few hours. No double feed, fail to feed, or fail to fire. Not one fail...kinda tells you something.

  • @ookieman83 yah u got lucky haha

  • Mine doesn't work well with cheap value pack ammo from walmart, but I NEVER had a problem with CCI mini mags.

Those value pack ammo have a lot of corrosion the shell gets stuck most of the time, same thing happened on my MP 15-22 and my ruger 10/22. Buy good ammo and you are good to go.

  • They have remade the magazine so it doesnt have nearly as many miss feeds

  • Those new B mags still dont like Federal or Winchester ammo. It s like the whole gun doesn't like cheap date ammo.

  • i have 2 of these fine guns both with 5" barrels one made in 2002 the other in 2003 i have never had a jam problem with either and have shot well over 20,000 rounds through them mabey you had junk magizines or just a lemon i love mine

  • @ everyone - the ammo used was the Federal ammunition value pack. I also tried Winchester and csi

  • @mudveins win. and federal dont work in my p22. remington works no issue everytime.

  • @ everyone- the gun was cleaned and lubed. I always clean my guns before and after I shoot. My buddy had the same gun and his had very little problems. Well i no longer have this firearm. This video was an informational video.

  • Wonder if Cho Seung-Hui had any problem shooting this gun lol

  • I have had one of these for years & it may occasionally fail to feed, but nothing to that extent and usually only after it is pretty dirty. Are you using low powder load ammo? I have stuck to using Federal in the 550 box & it generally works like a champ. I am considering getting a gemtech suppressor for mine at which point I will also look at getting a weaker spring to offset the weaker recoil to prevent failure to feed issues like what you were having. Best of luck!

  • @Comoloid I like people like you. You dont get on youtube and talk crap to anyone. I have one too and it works great. I havent had any problems with it and ive easily gone through 2,000 rounds with it.

  • I hear that if you have an older magazine, they had problems with them. Might want to try a newer mag. might solve your problem.

  • Was that federal ammo? I've found it really is picky on ammo

  • Maybe you should consider changing your ammo. I've had issues with my p22 only when I used blue box Federal ammo.

  • its terrible to say but depends on the ammo. I prefer a gun that will shoot any type of ammo but this one is particular to certain types of ammo.

  • get better ammo

  • its a fun gun I have a blast shooting it but like many OWNERS know its not the best .22 nor the most reliable.. I want its big brother now

  • Definitely the ammo. CCI Stingers are best used with this firearm and not the bulk ammo crap.

  • a phoenix hp22 is way better for half the price :)

  • it's the mag...not the gun..

  • Stupid fuck! The Walther p22 is hands down the best .22 pistol. You have to use good ammo not that brick shit it's good for rifles not pistols. And this cock juggler can't fix a simple problem just rap the fresh mag on your palm before using it's seats the shells. Thanks any comments hit me up at leehannahbryce@yahoo.com don't come at me with any bullshit.

  • have you considered that i could have been the one mag that was the problem?

  • cant use federal, try using cci they work better

  • it's the mags and not the gun artard

  • It's the mags, not the gun artard

  • I blame crappy ammo! Mine works fine!

  • ive never had problems with mineand ive put over 1000 rounds through it. just clean it properly and dont use crap ammo and you wont have your problems

  • the clip falls out of mine, pretty much every 2nd or 2rd shot, i have to keep my pinky under the clip to keep it in the gun while shooting it.... biggest peice of shit ever made... should have bought a SP101 .357 for around the same price...

  • shoots lik ay pice of toy = shit

  • It looks like the second mag was bad not the gun.

The other two mags. worked well.

  • @matt31113111 Yeah i've heard the type of round you use makes a huge difference because the lower velocity rounds don't kick the slide back enough to eject the shell and rechamber the next round.

  • What a complete, and total, POS. Almost bought the Sig Mosquito, another POS, lol. Beretta Neo works flawlessly, but it's larger and heavier.

  • I typically prefer my Beretta 92fs (or any center-fire pistol) when it comes to reliability, but the Walther P22 is a great cheap alternative when it comes to target shooting . Federal .22 LR is $15 for the 550 value pack, I have an average of one failure to fire every 200 rnds with the Walther p22 because .22 lr is a damn rim fire cartridge, it is not a defensive rnd. It isnt as reliable, it can be stopped by a good pair of jeans, and it has no stopping power. Still, shes accurate to 120 yrds.

  • clean yo shit dude

  • Yep same here, I have a A mag and a B mag. The first 3 rounds fail then it runs though the last 7 pretty decently.

  • did blame the 2nd and 3rd mags you used seems the sprinng is too tight/ strong. that is why the jamming is not there for the last few rounds.

  • insane. Same issue I have. and yes it is funny. Walther shuold recall this weapon

  • @Tacticalreview horrible gun but fun when it works

  • @Tacticalreview its made by HK of Germany. They own Walther so... yeah.

  • this is my firearm and it sucks! i called waltheramerica they are going to take a look at it.... ya ok.... anyways this gun sucks im about to trade it in for a RUGER 40s&w

  • @mudveins

So you are trading in a .22 for a .40? You realize that these are not comparable weapons, don't you?

  • thats gay! rimfirecentral can help, Idd guess feedramp/hollowpoints.

  • FREAKIN P22!! its fun and cheap to shoot but very unreliable.
