i dont understand why you would want a v6 to look like the gt. mabe put some cool after market and turbos but if your just giving it gt stuff i dont see the point just buy a gt.

i have an 05 v6 and i agree just get a gt.

Cheaper and lower insurance. You can save up to by turbos and exhaust and what not, but you have to do more payments with a gt. and lower insurance since its a v6. just my 2 cents.

problem is that the gt package doesnt make it any faster. or perform better. it just makes it look like a gt. which after modifing the brackets and other things to fit the v6 car almost costs as much to get a gt. but i see what your point is

I dont understand why you have to drill out the old rivets and then put new rivets.

real rivets can't be re-used. they need that plastic piece from the original V6 bumper to go onto the new GT bumper and it was held on by rivets.

I went to ford and bought the supposed replacements rivets they had order because thet didnt have any instock, had my dad pick the up while I was at work. Got home and they are 4 plastic pieces that you just into place. Is that normal?

i'm kind of confused as to what you're saying. the new rivets are plastic? or they sent you some different plastic pieces that you don't really need? b/c those plastic pieces they installed in the video onto the new bumper came off the old V6 bumper and were held on with rivets which is why they needed new ones.

I watched the video again this time paying special attention to the revit part and they install the same plastic revits, that they gave me at the dealer.

ok, that plastic piece that they install isn't a rivet, it's some sort of support piece for the bumper and it looks like also the bottom turn signal lights in the bumper. you still need actual rivets to put those pieces on to the new bumper. so, you could either return those plastic pieces you got and reuse the ones from the old V6 bumper b/c i would think it has them, and then get the rivets or you can use those plastic pieces since you already have them but you still need rivets

i dont think so rivits are like nails are yours like screws with an insertable second screw so it expands? cause thats not a rivit. atleast not the same kind as the one in the vid

because the rivits expand once there inside and to get them out you have to bust them drilling is just more practical

Its really not about that its more about making any machine faster than it was. Just pride and presenting know how to the people that can't pay out of pocket for a bigger engine. You might be fortunate enough to have or afford a bigger than v-6 engine. You have admire the ability. Be happy for the mustang. OR if you own one be happy you are apart of history. :0)

You guys spent a ton for it to be just barely faster than a GT. With all the appearance and technical upgrades to make it "look" and "feel" like a gt, people could just buy a GT lol

this car is 40 % less in price than a real gt. with the x charger its 20 hp faster. still for my money the whine of a v6 charger is sweet.
