I agree with your description that the Christmas Tree in September = EPIC FAIL. In-fact I was about to cite that as the "other" Epic Fail in addition to the first on which I thought may had to do with the elevator. Usually the Christmas stuff starts just before Halloween!

X-mas tree is no Epic Fail. This is nothing new: they always get a 3 month head start. It's just done by a lot more stores nowadays to boost sales.

Actually, Schindler Did Modernize it. At Sears at the Berkshire mall ( closest to Wernersville ) Schindler Fixtures, Schindler Call Button.

Well, a sign of the times: Montgomery usually have Door Close when button is pushed (THIS HAS IT) and Schindler usually doesn't, Door Close is in perfect sync here (Schindler's =no).
