Puzzling. If you Google "The Royal Teens" and look at their current website, or even check out the Wikipedia page, there is absolutely no mention of Jim/James Cusumano anywhere. They disbanded in 1965, but this record called "Newies But Oldies" (shown at about 0:35) was released in 1969 or 1970 (depending on the source). The latter so-called "Royal Teens" had nothing to do with the original 1950s-60s band that branded the name. As a Rutgers alumnus myself, I have to ask: What's up with that?
@EvanHansen63 The Royal Teens disbanded somewhere around 1964-5; Cusumano bought or assumed the groups' name and recorded a new take on the original song 'Who Wears Short Shorts' using the Royal Teens monikor. He was never a member of the original group. I don't know if he ever recorded another song but he played a lot of weekend gigs at the Jersey shore.
Cusumano was an original member. You can see him playing piano in a lot of the early performance videos here on YouTube
