@Agrimoniaful Nope, your wrong dude! This version was written by Sham 69's Jimmy Pursey, he re-interpretated the lyrics in 1980 so Trust could re-record an English version of it, he changed it and added a chorus to it!

@losferword Right where it already is. The real question is where would Thrash be without NWOBHM and Hardcore Punk music, which on a whole is what inspired many young Thrash bands in the early 80's. Fuck, I actually think Priest, Diamond Head, and Venom had more of an impact on Thrash than Maiden did anyway. Maiden didn't develope their trademark sound with Dickenson until the early 80's, and by then bands like Exodus, Metallica and Slayer were already playing Proto-Thrash.

@GoongalaGoongala You are right overall the NWOBHM had a major impact in what became speed metal. But most of the bands cite Maiden as their main influence along wiith the rest of the bands. Thrash was "officially" established like around mid-80s or so. I say officially because at the time the genre was new and these new bands were trying to set up the proper sound for what eventually became thrash. Im sure you already knew this right?
