Gene: Very innovative waltz, rhythmically and harmonically; always discovering new phrasing, new ways of expression. The basic melody is pure and simple (the best things in life are simple), and it gives you a sense of melancholy, evocative of an overcast day with intermittent droplets of rain. There is also something “Oriental” (Gypsy perhaps?) in the melody. Thanks for sharing.
