  • If you do these exercises twice a day will the injury rehabilitate at a faster rate?

  • Hi hi! Have you tried - fast abs magic (google it)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got great 6 pack abs and lost crazy amounts of fat with it.

  • My problem is more with my groin tendon that goes into pubic bone, it's a sharp pain and hurts when I kick a ball, my core seems to shake aswel when I hold in a sit up position maybe this is just weakness n needs strengthening.

  • Come here for the best hardstyle song and i find this... im desapointed

  • Thank you you are an angel

    xxx

  • Why are almost all physical therapists overweight or not fit. It's like buying a weight loss supplement from Fat Albert. Not happening.

  • damn right my balls are squeezing

  • I pulled mine, and it affect my entire body, my legs my groin, my heart neck and pineal gland in the head, but its all good, you are never lost, I still have extrasensory experiences and lucid dreams, thats all you need

  • Are you doing these stretches at your cubicle under your desk??

  • sooo your saying, after aggravating your groin, which was most likely injured through over stretching, you should stretch the over stretched area.

  • @honeybadger41 lol you couldn't be more wrong. I pulled my groin about 2 years ago and still sometimes experience pain while doing intense physical activity for prolonged periods of time....and the cause was a sudden movement in a jump....and it was from NOT stretching...stretching it will make it more flexible and strengthen it to prevent further injury. I've never even heard of someone pulling a groin from stretching too much.

  • @zeragon7 cool story bro

  • thank you!! how do i know when to start training again?

  • thanks for posting this on youtube cause i really needed to know what to do

  • im in the same boat.. i injured my right groin about 6 months ago and i tried to play through it. I play soccer, and now i have had about 3 weeks of a break, and it feels better but i havent gone and played yet so i dont know if it will still be a problem when i start to play again. so im trying everything i can to fix it, 3 weeks of icy hot, and heating pad, a week of stretching and massaging. Now im starting this strengthening excersize. Any idea on how long it might be until i can play?

  • Should we do the exercises only once in a day...or more than that ???

  • i pulled my right groin and i have been out of cross country for about three weeks. it keeps hurting and the pain doesnt stop what do i do?

  • i breakdance and i pulled my groin spreading my legs for one of my moves two weeks ago.. i stretched everyday for two weeks and it felt like it healed and i got better so i decided to do the move again and my groin got pulled AGAIN! i don't have trouble walking but i have trouble pulling up my left leg when im sitting down and other stuff like that :|

I have a very important game coming in a months time. can you please advise me that what should I do in order to get it recover fast. I am willing to do any thing to get it recover as I cannot afford to miss the game. Many Thanks

  • i pulled my groin when i was playing goalie and hockey and on my skateboard

  • my dickis in pain

  • I dont know about everyone else, but i pulled my groin bboying(breakdancing). Doing flares and airchairs, mann they are the hardest on my groin. Ill be doing this for two weeks lets see if there is improvement!

  • @nodnarbeiuol2 any improvement??? iv been doin it for a week but still painful!!

  • @gianniisnoice Honestly.. I felt it was useless.. btw I just stopped doing flares and airchairs for a month and worked on other moves. I had light airchair and flare practices during my injury. I totally forgot I had groin pain and Im alot stronger now. If your a bboy and hurt yourself its okay, just rest up and work on othermoves!

  • @nodnarbeiuol2 must admit i dont no what airchair and flare practices are. for me the pain occurs when i play football (soccer). i must admit my groin area feels stronger after a week of this exercise but lower stomach does still feel tender when walking. dont feel strong enough to kick a ball yet either

  • I was playin kickball in school and i over extended my leg and my right side of my hip kills! I cant walk with out pain..ive iced it all day and my mom exspects me to go to school tommarow! Help please!

  • okayso i amwhat people refer to as overly flexible XD and i was doing my lplits up the wall and i layed my head to the back of my knee ... and i am positive i pulled my groin musle -.-

  • That first stretch that you're doing is what pulled/strained my groin muscle to begin with. Should I go back to doing that once the pain subsides? I think I tried to stretch too far during a warmup after taking a long break from exercising (3 months).

  • i have a pulled muscle in both of my groins from a football- im english so (soccer) injury. it keeps pulling and pulling and even when i rest then go back to my soccer again, it just pulls again, i dont know what to do

  • @Nathan7692

  • Its helping i am i am so happy pain is going away thanks

  • i strtched my groin too. i injured it while i was sprinting at bootcamp on a muddy field and my leg skidded. my question is, does this exercise apply to me?

  • hii, i pulled my groin over 6 years ago playing football, i joined up to karate, my groin was fine at first, but as i progressed in belt wise (meaning more higher kicks) my groin began to strain, i kept taking time off because of it. i went to a phsyiotherapist (or however you spell it) he gave me a few exercises to do, i did them at home, it was fine for about a month or two, but my groin keeps playing up, have you got any exercises to help strengthen AND increase flexibilty in my groin, thanks

  • i hurt my groin from playing basketball but i am walking a little better and i have been iceing, sokeing it and resting it alco streching it but i still feel the pull what do i do?

  • I pulled both sides of my groin and have gone through 4-5 months of recovery with some major improvements so far. However I seem to be stuck now, as whenever I try to condition the groin by movements, leg raises and such i always tend to repull one side. Any tips?

  • great advise i run and play hockey and these exercises are golden!..... I just wonder if I should be doing lower abdominal exercises too? while I am triing to strengthen my abductors

  • thanks i think this is helping

  • Excellent- extremely helpful!

  • can your workout your upper body with a groin pull, and can you use your abs. like crunches and sit ups.

  • @ehbabbeh Yeah, it's totally fine to

  • this actually works if ur patient and do it right

  • Sunday was my 2nd time pulling my groin in the last month. I dove for a baseball at shortstop and I THINK I pulled my groin. The first day it hurt right around my groin but for the last 2 days its been more on the other side, around my ass. Would you consider this a pulled groin?

  • ive had a groin injury for a year now, and haven't been able to play soccer in all that time. It feels like a dull pain right in the pelvis and some movements will cause a shooting pain in my inner thigh and lower abdominal area, ive had an MRI scan which didnt show anything and physiotherapy which made it stronger and a can jog now, but, it still feels weak when squeezing my legs together, like somethings going to tear it if i was to squeeze to hard. Any advice/help would be amazing!

  • Hello Doctor I have a question I used to work out until one day I was working on the machine for your inner thighs and suddenly i started to feel a weird sensation like if electric waves were running through my left groin the symptoms were gone for a while but i have them ocassionally now in addition to that i notice a little bomp above my belly botton and when i press on it it goes away but it comes back again could you tell me the relation between this two.

    Thanks for your response

  • Can these exercises be done while the person is injured or are they for ongoing re-hab after healing?

    Thank you

  • im a javelin thrower at my school, and i pulled my groin a week ago, it hurt pretty bad once i did it during a throw, and hurt to walk etc, i iced it and there was no bruising and a couple days later it didnt hurt to walk or jog etc, (normal things). and i have been going to physio and she said the unjury happened becuase my hib abductors were tight, when will i know it will be fine to try crossover steps (using groin) in a throw again.

  • This happened to me. But during field hockey. I play goalie so theres alot of sidetoside movements. I hurt it early september and it still comes back to haunt me anytime i play. Like during todays game

  • omg my deep groin area hurts soo bad. i play soccer, im about average with weight, and like, yeah i fall a LOT in soccer, I play high school(im 15) soccer so it gets pretty intense, and my friend actually had the same problem and she went to the doctor and he gave her a shot of corazone or something there but my mom whos a nurse said that was bad because at my age our plates are still moving and what not, so idk how to heal my pain because i cant get a shot even though it made her feel better.

  • @blondiexchick32 hello mate,I wonder if you healed your groin pull ? how long did you need to cure it and how did you ? could you please tell me I'm having difficulties with my groin and I play football too I'm 16 years old :D help a mate out please :)

I iced it about 10 minutes after the injury and now, a week later it still hurts when i try to run faster than a jog or if i try to lightly kick with my right leg, i was only able to walk without a limp 3 days ago...

  • ahhhh i pulled my groin 2 weeks ago.. aggravated it 5 days ago when doing squats... now its five days later and it hurts again after a very light butterfly groin stretch today...will this ever heal!!!????

  • hi ive watched your video and i have a groin strain from football that i did about 3 weeks ago i kept playing on it because i didnt know what it was. i rested it for about 3 days and it hasnt got better would this technique work on a footall groin strain? many thanks. x

  • @videosurfer1834 yes it would, however, for a groin pull, depending on how severe it is can take up to weeks to months to heal. Three days is not nearly enough.

  • ok i will take that in to consideration thanks alot!

  • I think i have the same problems from surfing

But did it start in the (iliopsoas) muscles by my stomach?

    i think so

  • How many times a week should we do these exercises for best results?

  • thx alot i feel better

  • i had to quit bboying because of this injury :(

  • thanks thank you very much

  • I pulled it while having sex :(

to say the least, i finished first and was not happy

  • hahah

  • Yup that's the worst time to pulled it.... I know what you went through buddy.

  • P.S. : don;t keep the ICE for more than 20 - 30 min, then rest for one hour then ICE again...so you don;t freeze your blood stream (LIKE I DID ) loool

just in case you forgot the ice and found a BLACK or dark BROWN or Blue SKIN, don;t get scared it will go after few days :)

  • Hi All, I've pulled my Adductor Mscl Too. the First RULE: R.I.C.E (Rest Ice Compression Elevation) 1st 2 days My groin area was swollen then the blood moved downwards my inner thigh, I got scared but my doctor said its Normal (coz blood effected by gravity) plz take rest as much as you can after two to three weeks start rehab, slight exercises then give yous self 2 to 3 months to train hard

  • i couldnt lift my leg for 3 days is that bad ? and when i iced it it did not help , please say if you have any ideas to what happen ?

  • Thanks!!!!! you help me out alot!!!! God bless you Kristen!

  • My advice after being injured for 8 months is get the scar tissue removed by either electrocution (very painful, but very quick and effective) massages or accupuncture. If you want to be back quickly, electrocution will do it. It took me 3-4 weeks after tear and I was playing football agin. its vital the scar tissue is removed!!!

  • i strained my adductor while in a wide second plie in dance class. i felt a popping sensation, but it didnt hurt. i did nothing but stay in bed for two days and iced it. on the third day i went out, just walked, and i came back home and it felt wierd, and i felt heat. nothing popped. what do i do? i tried the first stretches, and i hurts with the slightest stretch. i really dont know what to do anymore. do i let it heal longer?

  • This video 100% helped heal my injury so I could go surfing again!! AMAZING techniques and made a huge difference -- thanks Kristen!!

  • Thanks for putting this up. Thanks, especially, for that first stretch; I don't know how I totally forgot about it. I shall hope that that your exercises will help me get my right hip joint working properly, since it's getting strained during my first session at an indoor climbing gym. Cheers.

    it helped alot!!!

  • I pulled my left groin muscle in cheerleading while tumbling about a year ago but I still seem to pull it everytime I do certain tumbling. I've tried all possible stretches and strengthening techniques but nothing works.

  • i suffered a groin pull during a volleyball match back on Dec 16th and till date i'm still in great pains with very limited movement possibilties...i just begun the rehab this evening and i must say the first stregthning exercise with the ball produce an excruciating pain! how long will i have to carry on with the rehab..given that i've got a major game on the 16th of Feb?

  • ahah same here just for tennis. I served once and then out of no where my left groin started hurting. It stops hurting after a few hours of not serving then when i do serve it hurts. And my major game (League Finals for Highschool) is tomorrow :[

  • Does it ever go away totally?

I did the exact same thing but while skimboarding (think surfing but starting on dry land). I pulled the left abductor while starting to run. This was back in July. It's now January and I can still feel it while going up a lot of stairs.

  • i pulled my groin about 2 weeks ago and i have workouts everyday at school and i have varcity baseball tryouts in 2 weeks

  • i rescently got a pain in mmy left shoulder really dull know what it is?

  • I pulled my groin doing a handstand trying to purely use leg muscle I didn't stretch well enough and majorly regret it. How long should we wait to do stretches? I don't think mines serious, but you can never be too sure.

  • I've been rehabbing on my own for about 10 days, and feel pretty good, I have been using protein and creatine assuming this would speed things up, I am a goalie in hockey and play in 2 leagues. I've been strengthening, and feel ok. Do you feel it is too early to start light play? and would you suggest heat and stretch before play and then ice after?

  • You would not be able to walk on a dislocated hip. The problem could be that the muscles are still weak, which creates an instability at the joint. Strengthening the muscles around the hip would be your best bet as things heal. Be well.

  • You can do the stretches now, but very gently. GO to where you feel a stretch or pull, but stay short of feeling/experiencing pain. Be well.

  • I have not been playing soccer for about 2 weeks now. All I have been doing everyday is icing once a day, normally before going to work. I would ice for 15 min then jump in a hot shower. The thing is that it has healed but not totally. I still feel the pain and I know for sure I won't be able to play now. I have had similar injury last year and it took me a month before I was able to run so fast and play well. My question is: should I be doing these stretches now, or should I wait?

  • I injured my adductors/abdomen playing football. I was tackled and got a hard pull on my abdomen/groin and was sent to the ground very hard landing on it with a guy on top of me. Ever since that, I've been doing rehab-exercises until it has felt pretty good, and then when I suddenly just start jogging/running (not hard at all) I end up having a major setback.

I don't have pain in my lower abdominals anymore though, my groin just sort of "knots" up. Could it be that my hip may be dislocated?

  • You need to back off until you are fully healed. As the muscle fatigues you are more likely to re-inure it, so working out after a game will certainly lead to an increase in symptoms. Back off again, use cold packs and then progress back slowly. Be well

  • my groin is still not fully healed i played at my regionals game for a bit felt good :]

then the same day .. i did gym mand we did squats and jumped . and it hurt . so what should i do ?

  • I think I pulled my groin, I leave for Marine Corps boot camp in 2 1/2 weeks...will it heal by then?

  • That is a tough question. It depends on how severe you injured it. Gently stretch each day which will help it heal the best. Also controlling the inflammation will also help it heal.

  • Actually I've been doing the stretches and icing it and it's been feeling a lot better. Thank you very much.

  • i pulled my groin 2 weeks ago, i've been resting it and icing it and it hasnt got better, i can barely sleep at night and i'm limping around because the pain is so bad

  • You may want to see a doctor. There are other things that can refer to the groin, such as a hernia. A typical groin pull should heal by now.

  • i pulled my groin muscle .

ii went to the doctors he said ill be fine in a week i was at my soccer touny warming up and i blasted the ball i guess to hard or the wrong way and i felt intense pain of course but i also heard a crackling sound , i couldnt play i was stretching cause my friend is like stretch for the next game so i did , my coach told me to do sprints and stuff , and then he told me to kick the ball and i did and it hurt again how do you know when it cures i have regionals next

  • You need to get back to playing gradually. Slowly strengthen and then gradually increase your speed. It is recommended not to progress your speed until you are running and cutting at a slower speed without pain. That will help prevent re-injury. Be well.

  • I think i have pulled my groin after a track meet and i was not able to walk properly for about 2 days. it was hurting a little bit for the past 4 days. On saturday the 20 i ran a 6:00 mile to see if it would hurt. it did not hurt though. Yesterday Sunday the 21 i missed my track meet and played in my soccer game and hurt my knee and i oculd not walk for the rest of the day. Today the 22 my groin and my knee were killing me. I have track and soccer throughout the week? Please notify me back.

  • I pulled a groin muscle in school! i was doing sprints and our teacher dind't make us worm up properly, and i started spriting wayyy too hard on the first step, so i felt a "GRRRRR" on my muscle and it hurt preety badly i felt heat, and pain, this happened to me 3 times in same leg(left), same muscle, and last time it happend it was a couple of months ago, and i can still feel the pain, when i stretch, or when i sprint i can feel the pain some times, or when i jump things, i need help with this!

  • You should not exercise through pain. If the exercises you do at the gym do not cause pain, then you can keep doing them. Trying the advice in the video should address your needs.

    Be well

  • I have been having a lot of pain at the top of my leg on the right side. My doctor has told me that it is a pulled groin muscle. I am having a hard time walking. The robaxisal perscribed are not working. What can I do? Should I still be going to the gym?

  • i breakdance and skateboard and i have the same problem.. when i ollie down something it hurts my groin and.. when i when ever i try a flare when i breakdance its annoying because i have to do my flares lower in order for it not to hurt:(

  • Pulled my groin yesterday sprinting. Went to our 1st football two-a-day today, we did those high knee stretches and the pain came back. My coaches were telling me to do butterflies, but the pain was too intense. I rested it today and hope to go back on the field as soon as possible. It's terrible pain.

  • This is great! i pulled my groin very recently skimboarding - i am going to do these exercises

  • I will deff. try these. I tore my groin a year ago playing hockey, came back too early and made it even worse! Haven't been on the ice in 6 months!

  • i have this injury which keeps coming back to me...will try these stretches, thanks for the advice!

  • dude h45an i have the same exact thing with the right and soccer stuff it sucks so much. my shot is soo off

  • dude and i thoght i was the only one i was sledding last year and injured my groin and whenever i use my legs it hurts and its been hurting for the past 2 years

  • anyone know if the loss of speed goes away

  • i skateboard and i have had this injury, and whenever i ollie, or kicklfip or do any trick, there is a slight, minor, annoying pain on my left side, whenever it heals, it always comes back. It isnt serious, and i can still do everything normally, but i was wondering the easiest way to get it to go away because it is really annoying.

  • same here man i skate goofy so my right side hurts and i pulled my lower back so it hurts my knee lower back and my groin :/ it has been a week and still hurts

  • I also play football(soccer) and pulled my right groin muscle...dam its a pain...it heals and no pain when walking etc..but soon as i play football the pain appears again..i will try these stretches!

  • Great video. Very helpful.

But I was wondering if this therapist has another video for bicep tendonitis rehab.

    Anyone know

  • i got this same injury from basketball 4 months ago and i still have it..it heals when i rest it but when i play it comes back again. it affects my game alot...im gonna try this, thanks

  • Reading peoples' replies, exactly the same thing happened to me. I pulled my groin muscle playing football (soccer) and I thought it had healed come the following week, but unfortunately I reinjured the same muscle again.

I'm 19-years-old and when sitting down I can actually feel my muscle repairing itself. It feels similar to pins and needles, but just not as intense.

As I am younger, how soon can I expect to fully recover if I undertake the rehab methods in this video? help is welcome

  • thanks!!

  • lmao alex

  • Anybody think that using thigh bandage supports and gel heat packs help with recovery times?

I got my groin injury a few weeks ago playing football (soccer), I don't feel that I've made a great deal of progress with recovery, despite giving up playing and doing the correct stretches and strengthening exercises.

  • good video. Ive pulled my groin a few times in the middle of doing windmills. and yes Ive loss speed when it comes to playing football. not the same anymore.

  • Has anyone lost any speed after pulling their groin? The first the I noticed I lost was later movement and speed, as well as forward burst. I also get some trouble bending at the waste. Anyone else get these symptoms?

  • Yay! - Another soccer player here struggling with the same injury. I've finally had to get serious about rehabbing to avoid reinjury - this looks like the answer! - Thanks!

  • One question, how many times do you do this activity (shown in the video) because I got an injury from playing Soccer and want to get back in?

And can you get in straight away after this routine.

    Thnaks.

  • Thank you so much, you ROCK!!!!!!!!

  • wow i have had that for a couple of years and that realy helps thanks thanks thanks

  • Just what I was looking for =D. I've been out of Soccer for almost two months. And yes, every time I did try to go back and play I got the pain again....Thank you so much, this will help for sure. =D

  • same here everthime i went out to play soccer i would get the pain again ive already pulled my groin 4 times this might help me get back
