@Starfalko The dubs are usually not totally direct translations because they have to make adjustments so the dialog still syncs with the lip movements. Its much easier said than done.

Japanese voices are better to those who aren't native to the langauge and the subtitles tend to embellish what is actually being said, a lot of times i catch subbers adding in words, like if a character simply says "who are you?" in an angry tone they'll put "Who the F*ck are you?". This being a light example. And dubs are restricted by the mouth movements of the characters so they are often not able to add in these words which would otherwise spice up a dull sentence.

It's like watching the Simpsons, or Disney films in Japanese. And if you heard the Japanese dub to the Simpsons, or Disney films, you would know how bad that is. I not saying the English HNK dub is bad, hell I grew up with it. But to really appreciated the Anime, you must experience it's in it original state.

The biggest problem with this dub is that it replaces the classic Hokuto No Ken soundtrack with generic techno. Not even good techno, just shit.

Replacing a soundtrack is possibly one of the worst things a dub can do

The voices aren't half bad, some are good (although its annoying when nearly every other guy is voiced by Steve Blum), but this dub didn't make past episode 32

(I dare you to watch the DBZ english dub with the original soundtrack, it only makes the dub seem really poor. Exceptions are some of the DBZ movie dubs, and the DBZ Kai dub) But this is just a shame how music replacement ruins what could've been a decent-good dub otherwise.
