  • Dad usually leads the prayer, he's out of town and I had no idea how to do it on my own so thanks.

  • witch madhab is this ?

  • @AleviTurkmen Its the sunnah, not from a madhab. some madhabs may mirror this one in some ways but this is the sunnah. the rassol(pbuh) did make salah before there was madhab.

  • @yasin77ify

sure i believe its sunnah...how do you know that ? Prophet prayed in different ways...you know that akhi fi dien. Madhab is just a tool...and it is good. they have all theire sahih sources. I rather follow Imam Abu hanifa then a wahabi madhab...come on brother.

  • @AleviTurkmen all you have to do is read authentic hadiths, the discriptions are there.

  • thank you so much!!

  • man i really suffered while watching these 7 videos!!!! i could never do this.. and you do this everyday!!! thats Crazy...

  • @Auktoriserad Salam brother, pray with the video playing, you will learn very quickly that way. The prophet said if there is someone unable to recite the full arabic arabic prayer, then he may say "sub-han-allah al-hum-dull-lee-lar, la-hill-a-ha-ill-allah, allah hu akbar" during the part where you stand.

  • @gfdgerhehrhe Salut to you brother.

what does "sub-han-allah al-hum-dull-lee-lar, la-hill-a-ha-ill-allah, allah hu akbar" mean ?

and what do you mean with "the part where you stand".

I don't believe in god, so therefore i don't pray. I watched the video to learn more about islam :)

  • @Auktoriserad Salam Alikium. I see. 'sub-han-allah, al-hum-dull-lee-lar, la-hill-a-ha-ill-allah, allah hu akbar' means 'Glory be to Allah, All praise is due to Allah, There is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest'. Muslims that can't recite arabic would say that during 0:20-1:15. Peace be with you.

  • Can you please make a video of reading Eid namaz. Thank you.

Can you please vote for this comment and let this be at the top so that somebody can help me. Thank you

  • jazakallah khairan

  • i need that

  • there is dua before reading quran

  • what about Sana??? you started directly with Surah Fatiha?

  • i read namaz because of this everyday...thank you

  • the english translation is excellent. I finally understand what the namaz means...

  • @crook4real it is 4 4 2 2 3 2 ... :) xx

  • so when u pray isha is it 4 4 2 2 3 2 or 4 4 2 3 2 2

can sum one let me know please asap

  • @crook4real what do you mean by those numbers?

  • @crook4real you can pray 4 rakaah before if you want; 2 by 2. praying 2 is sufficient. this is not a necessity for you to pray these units, you may pray if you want. then the 4 obligatory units in the Masjid (for men) with Imaam. After that go home and sleep. Wake up in the last third of the night and pray 2 rakaah Qiyaam al layl (night prayer - this is OPTIONAL but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) and then finish with Witr. You may pray 2 rakaah after that IF YOU WANT i.e. not compulsory

  • Thank you

  • Salam,I have been using your vidoes...they go a bit fast for me but in time it gets easier, alhamdulila! I have one suggestion for them....if you could put the phonetic spelling of the prayers for english speaking people, scrolling across the top or something....it would help alot to say them better in arabic .I have found some websites that do that but these are the ones I like most.Thank you so much for these videos! Peace and blessings from Allah to you and your family all the days of ur life.

  • I'm going to do salat right now (:

  • before i used to think reading namaz was hard until this video simplified it thank you so much

  • i made alot o mistakes

  • Thanks, this is really helping me!

  • i recommend the prophet's prayer by Sheikh Nasiruddeen Albani, it costs £3.50 and it covers Salaah as if you was watching the Prophet praying, subhanAllaah! includes proof from the hadith's as to why we pray the way described in the book, very good book alhamdulillaah. very detailed as well.

  • Eveyone seems to have a different way to pray even the link providedin the description box has a slighlty different way to pray. How correct is this way to pray for beginners??

  • Mashallah!! May allah bless you and everyone you know!!!!

  • beautifully narrated video, i have huge respect for islam coz a muslim may be he is president/ professional/ labor /thief. he performs prayers at high discipline. i never see this in any religion. i pray to shiva that all religions be in peace and there should be no racist, no domination, no hatred. we all are one. HUMAN BEINGS

  • thank you. does anybody know if there something similar to this in Hanafi mazhab?

  • Thank you for the videos..I'm doing my research of Islam and I will convert soon...the videos helped explain the movements...now I have to learn the prayer in Arabic...Thank you again.

  • @truegemmie salaam bro.. i recently reverted to Islam alhumdulilah :)

  • @greencomputer1 Well thats nice to hear and thats the best choice u could make everything will be much better =)

  • salam alaikumakh. in each rak'at you should recite the surat al-Fatiha, because, if you not do that, your salat is not valid/ accepted by God. And oit's a hadith of Muhammad (pbuh) that say what i have been say. al bukhari

  • can someone help me with a short easy Dua after the salah when we finish saying Assalum alaykoum (right and left ) thank You .

  • wow i didn't know that muslims follow such a strict way of praying i allways thought they can say what they want

Can somebody please tell me if everybody is allowed to pray that way or do you need to be a muslim before you start praying like this?

i actually started studying islam and i think this way of praying is nice and i want to try it out but i'm not a muslim

  • @Tpal91

there is no harm in tying to pray

  • @Tpal91: This is the Islamic way of prayer as all prophets (peace be upon them all) prayed i.e. the acts of standing, bowing, prostrating etc.

It's not a strict way, prayer is means to attain soul purification. Your prayers won't be accepted untill you become a Muslim i.e. submit to the Will of God Almighty to attain peace. I invite you to Islam, save your soul && God willing be amongst the Successful For further info, check out Hamza Tzortzis, AbdurRaheem Green, Joshua Evans, Yusuf Estes.

  • @TheMuslimahSouljette

thanks for your reply i'm not yet ready to convert to islam i'm simply thinking about it

i don't want to rush into anything a religion is a very serious decision.

  • @Tpal91: I hope to see you join the Ummah insha'Allah/God-willing. Yes, critical thinking && concluding upon this is required but don't delay, remember death is a reality which can come any second. May the One who Created us grant us forgive us. && it's best to learn the basics of Islam before rushing hence I recommended you to check out some Islamic Lecturers who themselves are Converts, hence they'll be highly beneficial to check out && learn from. Hope u join the Ummah soon, All the best.

  • @TheMuslimahSouljette

thanks i know death can come anytime but i don't want to rush into anything and then later regret it

  • @Tpal91: Yes true, but Insha'Allah plz don't stop && continue in your quest for the Truth && inevitably reach Islam as Islam is Al-Haqq - The Truth. Many have converted to Islam, I hope insha'Allah/ God-Willing you do too.

Check out RoadSide2Islam, very helpful indeed. Lemme know how it goes insha'Allah.

  • Alsalam alikom Dear bro:

Sorry for my late response but I could not open youtube in the previous month, in regards to your question about the Dwa which starts at the minute 7:30 till 7:50 it is a great one but I don't say it in my prayers, but if u could memories and understand it that will be great. :) wish all of u the best and may Allah guide us to the right way. Inshallah

  • Salam alaikum Brother i was trying to say.... is the supplication after darood do we have to do it? or can we skip that and say our salams to our right and left

  • As I told u earlier you don't have to do it, and u can skip it but it will be good if u say it,

  • Salam,

Very important question, it would meen a lot to me if I could get an answer.

is it obligatory to say rabbigh firli when you get up from sajdah?

secondly, in tashahud, after "allahuma salli ala muhammadin..." can you say something different from the one he said? I normally say "Allahumma Inni zalamtu nafsi zhulman katheeraw wala yaghfir udhunuba illa antal faghfirli maghfiratam min indika warhamni innaka antal ghafur ar raheem".

  • thnk you for making this video. i needed this!!!

  • what is the arabic of MY Lord Forgive Me.

what did he say when he is in jalsah

  • astaghfirullah... is that the word?

  • Fearnonebut1allah is right, ALL THE MADHABS are right because they all originally came from the Prophet(saw).

and YES, all hadith are not sahih, but lets narrow this down to the sahih ones- for example Bukhari. in this hadith book, there are different ways of doing one act (and they are all Authentic Hadith!)

  • no...when imam haneefa prayed, he did takbir only once, the first time..after that, he did not raise his hands for takbir at all...his students abu yusuf, followed that...after imam haneefa died, abu yusuf travelled many places and met various scholars...and he learnt that there is takbir for certain movements in salat, with firm hadiths..so he followed that...and when questioned by imam haneefa's students, he said, yes, i learnt from abu haneefa in that way, but now, i have been shown

  • its hard 2 say that about every madhab, that is not the case with everything & honestly its hard 4 us 2 judge which one is right bc we weren't there in the prophet(saw)'s time so we can't really say that anything for sure is sahih or is for sure weak. i personally don't follow any specific madhab bc i try 2 do wat is sahih based on my knowledge & i follow the interpretations that make the most sense 2 me, not by wat i desire 2 follow

  • ex. eatin the meat of ppl of the book(each madhab has their own interpretation of wat that means)

my point is that we cannot reject all of what the imams have taught.

  • @mumina4ife01 we have hadith and we should now know we should not eat the meat of the ppl of the book...that doesn't mean we are rejecting any of the imam's view..all the great imams unanimously agree that any sahih hadith in which the words of Muhammad SAW contradicts their words, we take Muhammad's words and discard their words...

  • @DrakyGordon Wow. U guys dont get it all. U have the same problem as that mkhan dude. U guys cant the fact that all 4 madhhabs have their sahih hadith that is proof from the prophet (s). Do watever u want but u cant reject that the 4madhabs are wrong.

  • @fearnonebut1allah dun be such a whatever...i have never said that any of the four imams are wrong in their practices or rulings...

  • @DrakyGordon Wat watever wat the? U jus admitted that their right. If their not wrong why arent u following them? There all right and have ther hadith. then y??

  • @fearnonebut1allah i dun wanna argue with you anymore...salam..

  • ok, i see you and i have an agreement on some level, but the only thing that is disagreeable in this debate is that you beleive there is only 1 sahih hadith for each act, whereas i say there are a few for each act. i dont know where to go from here unless we both give proof and convince one another. u may be right about having one sahih hadith for each act but we cant tell which one is truly sahih out of the few bc we werent there in the prophet's(saw) time. idk...

  • oh i already know that my brotherrr. dont get into it with me because i dont eat that meat anyways. im always the one arguin with people who DO eat that meat. its disgusting.

  • ofcourse we should discard their words if there is proof of what the prophet(saw) said. but a lot of these interpretations are based on what the Qur'an and hadith say ex. the shafis say its ok to eat meat where Bismillah has not been said based off sources. i dont know if you just dont get it. maybe you are saying this based off of something else. i dont know where you got ur backround knowledge from so i feel this argument is pointless.

  • @mumina4ife01 well, there is nothing different in our views based on this..

  • evidence that the prophet prayed differently...so in the day of Qiyamah, i am afraid Allah will question me about my knowledge...so i changed my way according to the sunnah of Muhammad SAW...the technology last time these great imams have was not really sophisticated..nowdays, we have a helicopter view of things..its obligatory upon us to do comparisons and follow the way which has the most concrete evidence..

  • Fearnonebut1allah: Ur RIGHT! i just also want 2 add (even tho u already said everything) that the prophet(s) didnt pray in 4 ways ONLY! he did it differently @ different times & that is y each sahaba has seen him pray in various ways. that is y these madhabs came 2 b, so that Muslims will have something solid 2 follow-for example, putting ur hands on ur chest when u pray. if u r told u can put ur hands down, u can put them up , u can do this & that, it'll be confusing as to which choice 2 follow

  • Beleive me, i thought the same way u all thought. i believed the madhabs were only there 2 disunite the ummah, but that is not y they were made. its just that now, muslims use it 2 disunite among themselves out of lack of knowledge. As i learned in classes from sheikhs who learned from Medina University, i understood & it all made sense.

  • the madhabs are not there to disunite ummah...if that was what u thought, ur wrong..the 4 madhabs where the different fiqh of the 4 imams...they were all upon one way, and that is ahlu sunnah wa Jama'ah...

  • brother, that is what i thought based upon how the Muslims handled the madhab situation among themselves. i said that i thought that out of lack of knowledge and i already admitted to my mistake. you dont need to respond by telling me im wrong again.

  • @mumina4ife01 okay...

  • @DrakyGordon watevrr. Even if u keep on going im not gonna give up cuz i no its the truth and u never answered my questions so that means u got nothinn

  • yes..u win...haizz..grow up will ya...

  • @DrakyGordon wow haha

  • i really feel ignorant now 4 thinkin that way wen there were so many righteous & pious Muslims who followed these madhabs w/ it's understanding, as i followed it with no knowledge.

  • Thank u! Finally someone says something right!

  • I have trouble doin my salat and I don't guard all my prayers I'm I consider a bad Muslim?

  • mnhkhan. Where do u think these 4 madhhabs came from??? Obviously from the prophet (s). I am hanafi myself but i dont reject the other three because they are all right. All four imams, Imam abu hanifa, Imam ahmad bin hanbal, Imam malik in anas, and Imam Shafi have proof of the ways they do thing because they are all from the prophet (s) and he has done them all. How do we know this??? All have proof from sahih ahadith!!

  • @fearnonebut1allah mnkhan25 is right...there is only one way to pray..and the place to put the hands is on the chest according to hadith muttawatir...

  • Um no because all the four madhhabs have proof from sahih ahadith that prophet (s) has prayed 4 ways. That is people follow all 4 ways. They are al right and we must respect all of them. We cannot reject them because it is all from the prophet (s). I said: "its all the actions of the prophet(s) because the person that u mentioned did not get this fact.

  • that means u say the prophet has 4 ways to pray which is wrong. your still at the first stage where ppl start to learn about each madhabs...then, the other stage will be to compare all these 4 madhabs and based on the best evidence, we follow that. if ur living at a corner of the world with no resources, u can be excused for following a madhab. but we all have the resources now and its obligatory to do things based on sound evidence and not follow a madhab or even all 4 blindly...

  • No actually i live in america and i have all resouces as well. Look at what the Allah (S) says in the quran. Allah (s) says: Ati-ullaha-wa-ati-urasul. Follow allah (s) and his rasul prophet mohmmad(s). Why arent u following him he has prayed all ways and ur saying that the imams are not wrong? What?!

  • prophet SAW prayed one way...there is only one way to pray....

  • Brother, we all want 2 follow the prohet(saw) exactly because he is all of our role models. like bukhari; there r a few ways of doing 1 act but all hadith are sahih. i would definitely NOT want 2 follow something daeef. each madhab also has opinions of what is daeef & wat 2 trust. alot of wat they follow r sahih. we can never track down exactly what is strong or not but we can trust the imams bc they lived long be4 we did. wat is truly important is our intention & we all should do our research.

  • i agree we should all follow the most sahih hadith and if wen i do research and i find something more sahih, i will try to follow that.

  • not all hadith are sahih and we have to conclude which is the best hadith of all the 4 imams. but we cannot say what they did was wrong because they are the great ones..may Allah elevate them..ameen...

  • No i am not at the comparing stage of madhabs i respect all of them and i can change to any madhhab wenever i waant. of course all hadith are not sahih. The proof that these four imams have from ahadith are all sahih. Why would they follow weak hadith? Tell me one thing then if ur saying the prophet (s) prayed only one way. Where did these respected imams get the info from then???

  • Say: "If you (really) love Allaah then follow me (Muhammad), Allaah will love you.

    (Glorious Qur'aan: Surah Aal-'Imraan: v31)

  • Hands on the chest??? That is for women guys put there hands on their belly haha wow

  • there are several hadith mutawatir which says muhammad SAW placed his hands firmly on his chest...the other hadith which says belly are all daef...we follow the strongest..

  • the start of this vidoe missed subhana-kala should be read in the first rakat then a,au-udu billahi minash-shaitan-rajim then its as the vidoe says

  • Thanks for all the videos.Allah's bless. Thanks for uploading again!!!

  • Please see this video ... Peace be unto you:

  • @ILoveIslam25 mushAllah

  • @ILoveIslam25 is this a positive comment or a negative one?

  • I really do not understand how youtube is used here? Technology is not holy?

  • i think he is offering salat according to MALAKI sect

  • No i think its shafi or hanballi cuz i think maliki put their hands in a different way. But it doesnt relly matter because all of the four sects are from the same religion Islam and are gotten from the prophet Mohammad (s). So they are all right follow any of them and ur on the straight path.

  • Asalamau Alaaikum...I would like to thank the muslim brothers and sisters who put together this video and posted it on youtube. It help me of alot alhamduilah. May allah bless you all.

  • mashallah very nice video to show the prayer positions......muslims praying is so beautiful and always touches my heart

  • Asalamau Alaaikum...RAMAZAAN MUBARAK...COULD SOMEONE TELL ME IN WHICH ORDER YOU DO THE PRAYERS BY NAME AND ALSO THE TIME AND ALSO I WOUNDER ARE THE PRAYER TIMES IN RAMAZAAN THE SAME AS THE NORMAL TIMES NOT IN RAMAZAAN ..Khoda Hafiz

  • walaikum salam.

the time my brother changes with the season.i suggest u to get a prayer time table fom a mosque near to ur home.

the salah order by time is

    Fadjr

    Zuhr

    Asr

    Maghrib

    Isha

there is no special timing in ramadhan

  • With no disrespect intended; why do you repeat the same thing in each prayer? This isn't a relationship with God in my humble eyes? As an outsider it would appear as vain repetition?

  • Why do people read things more than once? Why read a good novel more than once. Muslims...all 1 and a half billion of us, believe the Quran to be the words of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). These words are not to intended to be recited for the pleasure of God, but for our own benefit. Where is the vanity in that? Calling a prayer a "vain repetition" is like telling your wife you don't love her, because you've already said it once, and to do so again would be "vain repetition".

  • With no disrespect intended:

My prayers to God are a personal conversation. I share my thoughts fears and joys. This said,

Mat 6:7 NKJV - And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen [do]. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Mat 6:8 NKJV - "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

  • I would also like to preface this by saying i intend absolutely no disrespect whatsoever. Muslims also have a personal conversation with God, both through our prayers, and indeed at the end of our prayers, through Dua. Any muslim who performs the 5 daily salaat will have a personal relationship with God.

I like the Bible too, don't get me wrong. But I follow the subsequent, final, and preserved revelation of God, the Quran.

  • Also, i agree with parts of the Bible, on the oneness of God, he creation of heaven and earth. That i agree with. But there are also many contradictions. I will just mention one verse from the Bible in LK 1:26-38 that is inaccurate.... It reads: The angel who appears to Mary to foretell the birth of Jesus says that Jesus will be given the throne of David, that he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and that his kingdom will never end. None of this took place nor can it now be fulfilled

  • that is your religion's teachings, but in islam our sole purpose in life is to worship God.

51:56. And I (Allâh) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).

All aspects of our life revolve around the worship of our creator.

  • 1) As Salamu Alaikum dear believers of the only untouched whole truth of the last dayz . Hope you & I all die in the state of al-Islam. I have taken shahada just 4 hours ago (al-hamdulilah) and I have been trying to learn Salah for couple of hours. There is no mosque and no muslim in my town. So internet is my only help. This video has been the best one I have come across so far. But I have 3 questions :-

  • 2)

Q1: In this video the hands placed together at chest but I saw in some other videos it was below near the belly-button. Which one is right one ?

Q2) When do you raise the finger and for how long ?

    Q3) The part that starts @ 7:30 , is that required ?

Hope I get some answer soon so that I can start my first salat of my life !!!

  • for the part after 7:30 its not required u raise ur finger when the man says ASHHADU ALLAH ILAHA ILLALLAH so basically wen u say all of that u point ur index finger up and wen he dun sayin dat u put it back down umm girls put their hands on chest guys put it basically right on the belly button hopes this helps!!!llol im 15 and i learned from dese vids lol im so hhappy i get to help sumone learn itt!!lol Asalamu Alaikum

  • Valjeann its very good that you are showing interest in beginning to pray. it is hard to learn from the internet alone but good luck. if there is a mosque in a nearby town or something i really suggest you go there, it will be a great help. god bless you and good luck

  • Comment removed

  • Q1: it should be placed together at chest

    Q2:when you wash the hands

Q3:no its not but its a sena which means u can do it if u want but its good for you to do it please enjoy your first salat

  • In this video the text printed on screen is slightly ahead of the Arabic chanted and actions performed. This may slightly throw a viewer off. Well done series!

  • what gives me the right to stereotype n be ignorant?

maybe i mean just maybe because i had to run away from my country (Iraq) and leave behind everything that i had, all because of MUSLIMS that are blowing them self up and cutting our heads, in other words i lost my country because of Islam. i hope god deal with you people on the judgment day

  • 698eer- get a life u low life saddo dissrespecting culture and religion....no space for racists here.

wat you're stating is not an act of islam so what gives you right to stereotype n be ignorant.

  • Thank you so much for this video, but do you have...

Step-by-Step Guide to blowing your self up?

    or

Step-by-Step Guide to cutting innocent people heads off?

    i would really appreciate that.

  • JazakAllah for your great videos, they are easy to understand and answer many questions I had, for example- whether to say it out loud or quiet or how many Rakat's to do for each prayer etc. Now I have memorised it and know exactly what to say and do for each one.

My advice to everyone who is learning, is to watch these videos until u feel confident. Also print out a copy of the words from the internet to guide u. It really makes a lot of sense!

    Convert since Nov 2007

    Sister Suraya

  • In Quran ther is a word "QEEMA" used for the salah this word means straight attention position not cruked as shown in this vidio.

  • Thank you very much. I ve been a muslim all my life but I never prayed, a shame. Im 24

    I learned from your videos

    God Bless YOU

    and ALLAH AKBAR

since I started praying my life already got much better; I quit drinking because I feel bad and guilty and Im much healthier and responsible. its AMAZING

call it MIRACLE in other terms, Allah works in mysterious ways; and ALLAH AKBAR!!!

  • Thank you for posting this, it was very interesting. I am not a muslim but I really admire the way you show your devotion and how you pray five times a day.

  • Should one offer personal prayers BEFORE or AFTER saying "As Salaamu'alaikum warahmatullah" to the angels on our right and left???

  • Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I counted him doing 4 rakats. I thought in the Maghreb prayer, only 3 rakats are fard? Is he therefore going beyond what is fard, and the final rakat was optional? Please clarify. Thank you for making this clear.

  • Brother, it's because this is the Isha prayer not Maghreb.

  • Thank you for your help brother. I notice during Al-Fatiha, the right hand is over the left at the chest. I have found that other internet sources say the right hand should cover the left, below the man's naval. Is this a difference in schools? Do you know which practice was used by The Prophet (P.b.u.h)? May you be blessed for your help to those starting out.

  • This is great brotherhood and I hope it stays like this for the future. Bless you all

  • this is isha brother your watching te wrong video, maghrib is 3 rakaat 2 aloud 1 in silence and ishaa is 4 rakaat 2 aloud and 2 in silence

  • Thank you for taking the time to teach us. This is the first time I am trying to learn how to pray on my own and I do not know how to pronounce all the Arabic. Do you, by any chance, have a link with the transliterations for each prayer? Thank you again. May you be blessed by Allah for doing this for us who want to learn.

  • salam wa laykum. something i learned while reverting is you cannot learn arabic of youtube , u need to get a teacher because arabic is so complicated.

  • assalamu 3alaykum, I really need help with something. I am really confused as to how I can pray the shaf3 and witr? is it two rakat for shaf3 (like fajr) followed by one rakat witr? with salam in between? I follow the shafi'ee madhab...also is the qunoot wajib in witr? jazakum allah khair

  • Read the book "The prophet's prayer prescribed"
